You obviously aren’t in NC every time I take my truck in to get serviced they break something else 🤔

Took it in two weeks ago because the roof panels leak and there was a software update.

After a week they finally figured out the software update but now the tonneau cover will not retract and the panels still leak.
To be honest, I wish they made the hummer without the tops and without the useless crab walk and lower the price. I took the tops off once and it's too much of a hassle. The crab walk is a party trick. Again useless stuff on a really cool vehicle.

I did the washer update yesterday and 0 rattle now. I did not apply anything to the seals. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt and may be needed periodically as things age but just doing the washers made a significant difference. Took less than 30 minutes to do the whole thing. Would probably take 15 minutes to do it a second time.
Can you come and do mine?
😆

You didn't happen to take photos while you did it did you?
I planned to tackle this in the next day and was wondering if you can uploada detailed tutorial.
Looking at the bulletin it doesn't look too difficult. Just wanted others input.
Thank you.
When I do it, I will take photos and try to upload if i'm successful.

I did the washers on the back today, plus some lube. Been driving in 90-95F with no rattles. The back is faster to do, since the bar remains on the truck.

Any pointers?

Genuine GM Fluid 12345579 Dielectric Silicone Grease - 1 oz. You can get it on Amazon or any GM dealer. I have used it on my wife's 2008 Trailblazer SS since new and the seals are in great shape.
In the description it states "May be used as weather strip lubricant".

Genuine GM Fluid 12377900 Dielectric Lubricant - 2 oz. I use the 1 oz size and it lasts a long time.
What is the difference between what you choose and the recommended super lube in the bulletin? Part #12346241

First and foremost.
I'd like to thank everyone who contributed to this forum and indirectly helped me successfully apply the service bulletin. Like others have noted, the annoying cracks, creeks and moans are all but gone. I am very pleased, and not having to deal with the hassle of the dealership is the cherry on top.
It took 30 minutes from start to finish to complete the front and back. I purchased the washers at Lowes, as directed by another member, and followed the instructions of the bulletin.
I was a bit apprehensive because the service bulletin photos were a bit lacking. Once the process began it became crystal clear and easy to follow. My photos combined with the service bulletin should clear things up a bit if you are on the fence about attempting this on your own, as was I.
Here are some photos to give others the initiative to try it themselves.

All in all, it is at least 80% better. I parked in the sun for several hours and tested. The interior was scolding and before the fix it was so noisy, almost comical, afterwards it is very quiet. it is hard to believe that a small washer could have such a positive impact. The 1.4mm thick washer created a tighter fit that alleviated the play when heat was put in play. It is 96 degrees in Boca Raton today.

The GM super lube is on order from Amazon as per the service bulletin.

Amazon.com: ACDelco GM Original Equipment 12346241 Synthetic Multi-Purpose Glycol Lubricant - 11 oz Spray : Automotive

Hopefully the super lube application will further eliminate the minor residual squeaks, cracks and moans that remain.

I previously applied the washers and it reduced the creaks, but they still happened when going over bumps. So I also added the heatshrink to the pins, and all noise is gone.

I have some wind noise, but it is coming from an area between the driver window and the top of the A pillar, not from the roof panels.

Just standard heat shrink for wires?
You wouldn't happen to have a photo or can you take one?
I'm not sure where to apply the heat shrink.

I used 3/8" heat shrink, slide it on, heat it, then cut the end after it is tight. This shows the pin covered after putting the heat gun to it.

Thank you so much. Exactly what I thought it would be. I will do it this weekend. I have family in from the west coast for the holiday. I appreciate you taking the time to take the photo. 👍
