Beadlock capable wheels

Are you trying to say the 4 wheels had the bead between the rim and the ring. None of your tires should be bolted between the decorative ring and the rim because it's just a decorative ring with limited clamping force. GM still doesn't offer the real bead lock ring. I keep calling to check as I want it for off roading. They do offer the 17 inch ring for the Colorado.

Found a case where the decorative bead lock was mistakenly used and gm was so concerned about it they replaced all the wheels under warranty.

My Ed1 with bronze beadlock package have the same wheels just different color. I assure you none of mine use the beadlock decorative ring. All mounted normally. This explains why discount tire had issues. They probably couldn't find the torque specs for the ring because it doesn't exist yet and the decorative ring wouldn't have torque specs.

The tire should be on the inside of the rim. If you have a real beadlock forged ring with grade 8 bolts then you can mount the tire on the outside of the rim and clamp it down with the bead lock ring. This is only used when off roading where you lower the tire pressure to 15 psi for rock crawling because that low pressure isn't enough to hold the bead against the inside of the rim and the tires break the bead loose and deflate

Otherwise the bead lock ring serves no purpose for everyday driving. Not needed.

The omegas came with two sets of wheels some customers got both sets. The dealer had to remove the tires from the factory wheels and install them on the beadlock wheels and obviously some technicians thought the bead lock was real.

Thank you for the reply, I do have the reddit post, I have inspected my rings and they all have bolts.
This will be interesting since the original selling dealership is in Florida and I purchased the vehicle in Texas. One owner and owned for one month, 2700 miles. Delivered in Aug 2024.
All the warranties did transfer to me. I purchased in Dec 2024 3600 miles
Used Omega's are amazing deals.

So the old ring had 8 fake bolt heads and the new ring has 8 holes with no fake bolt heads?

The rim does not have holes for the inner 8 bolts?

Glad you posted this, I'm removing my rings tomorrow for off road park trip. I would have broke those fake bolts.

Had something similar happen removing horn ring on 87 Buick. Only two of the hex bolts were real. Rest fake and of course I broke it

You do understand that it is not a real beadlock wheel right? thats why it says "decorative" ring. These are only intended to have the look of a beadlock capable wheel, and not to be used as one.
You should read the original post, that's what the whole issue is. Dealership installed the tires using the decorative beadlock so they replaced all the rings but the new ones are different.

I scratched one of my bronze rings off roading this past weekend and every one i find online has empty bolt holes on the inner bolts, so I'm faced with the same issue you have. A wheel shop said they could fix and repaint the factory ring but they need the tech bronze paint code.

This is exactly why I want a spare set of rings. Next time i'm removing the rings before i go. I was lazy this time and it cost me.
