Guess it’s reading VIN numbers. I’m curious about my wife’s car because Mercedes EQS is listed in the Tesla App.
Listed in the app means nothing. Only Ford and Rivian are approved so far. Magic dock sites accept any CCS, I have charged my Hummer at those. For non magic dock sites, they are blocking them based on the modem mac address OEM prefix.

GMC customers now have access to Tesla Supercharger network. Download the myGMC mobile app to activate the Tesla Supercharger Access, purchase a NACS DC adapter, and enjoy expanded fast charging options.

Your range anxiety is about to disappear overnight thanks to 15,000+ Tesla Superchargers across North America.

I can tell you with personal experience I feel much more comfortable taking 1500+ mile road trips thanks to having access to the Tesla Supercharger network.

I am still waiting for my official Tesla adapter for my vehicle and decided to purchase a NACS DC adapter available today from A2Z using the forum discount. I have been using it for my vehicle with no issues to report since April 2024 including multiple road trips.

Please note that third-party adapters, including A2Z NACS-CCS1 adapter, are not currently officially authorized for use on Tesla® Superchargers™. Ensure your vehicle brand has access to the network before purchasing. This adapter is also compatible with 3rd party NACS DC chargers such as ChargePoint and EVgo.

If you need one ASAP you can always order the A2Z Typhoon Pro Level 3 DCFC adapter using the forum discount code "GMC", one of the most popular adapters currently being used by Rivian owners, F-150 lightning owners and Mustang Mach-E owners.

The new and improved A2Z Pro adapter is now available to order with the forum discount code "GMC" + Free Shipping.

I just ordered one and will make a review post once I get it.

I also have a Ford / OEM Tesla adapter that I will compare it to and the Typhoon Pro

Feel free to use the below links or discount code "GMC" to save on products sold on A2Z website.

You can bundle the A2Z Stellar AC Tesla to J-1772 adapter for Hotel Destination charger (commonly found at Hotels, Airbnb, Shopping centers and Parking lots) for $68 additional after discount by using the drop down on the Typhoon Pro page to get both adapters.

A2Z Typhoon Pro Tesla Supercharger Adapter coming soon - Shipping starts July 15th

Neither the GMC app nor the Tesla app show access. And this is the latest on the Tesla web site:

Here is the information on the GMC website.

GMC EV Public Charging. Tesla Supercharger Access.

Also you can sign-up for membership rates in the Tesla app which is beneficial if you will have 2 or more charges. The cost is $12.99 and typically will save you 10 cents per kWh. You will have to activate your charging session using the Tesla app if you want to take advantage of membership rates.

The Tesla chargers do not like the heat,
I am getting limited by the station, same thing happened with my Rivian recently.
Yeah and I'm guessing a Hummer can peg the dispenser at 500amps from dead to almost 80% so in the heat there will be a lot of thermal limiting. Probably won't see a flat charge curve until Fall/Winter on one.

My experience in cooler weather is 500A to about 45%, then it drops to 400A out to 75%.

But today it started at 182kw (500A) for a short while then dropped to 120kw and stayed there. The Tesla connector and the adapter were barely warm, only two other cars charging with 12 stalls. My Rivian went up to 190kw and then dropped to 110kw in the heat. I think it is the power supplies causing the issue, not the connector or cable cooling.

Were you at a Magic dock location? If so I don't think this is a valid test.
?? Where was this SC site?

Did you register as GMC Hummer in the Tesla app or Ford/Rivian?

I can start the session as long as I register as Ford / Rivian temporarily until updates rollout for GMC.
