Hey Everyone!

I finally pulled the trigger on an Omega and I’m really happy with it.

I picked up a smokin’ deal and drove it 1,300 miles back home. It was definitely a good intro as I’m new to EVs.

Some things that stood out to me:
1. Love that we can use Tesla superchargers now
2. Super cruise is awesome. I didn’t think I’d like it as much as I do.
3. This truck is surprisingly easy to drive and park, given how big it is.
4. It took a minute to find the buttons on the back of the steering wheel, but glad I know where they are now.

One thing I haven’t figured out yet: the integrated google maps insists that the Tesla network isn’t compatible with the truck (even though it is). Anyone had success finding the setting to fix this?

To your google maps point, there is a dialog in the settings (of Google maps) that allows you to specify the charging networks that Goo-goo will use. You can also tell it what range of power delivery (in kW) to use. With this you can tell it not to recommend a L2 charger. Who wants to wait for power delivery at 10mi/hr?

I just brought mine home 1000mi from the dealer and was relatively unimpressed with Goo-goo before I figured this out. Even so, once I got home and tried the planner in the myGMC app, I was really impressed with that. I haven’t tried to see if I can send the plan results from the app to the truck yet, but I suppose there is a way to do this. Goo-goo does keep track of your charge level though and can adjust in real time.

Google Maps and Tesla Chargers - You have to go into the filters and enable NACS adapter. Otherwise the truck filters Tesla out. It also seems to need this changed every time BTW so if you use it once and later Tesla arent showing again, just go back into the filters and enable NACS again. Tesla will show up afterwards.
