I need to buy the Tesla adapter so I can charge my 2025 hummer on a trip. Question- I see adapters available on Amazon ($120 bucks or so) and at GM store over $200. Any recommendations on what to buy and what works best? Thanks everyone ...

There are really 2 options: 1 for DC fast charging and one for level 2. Assume you are talking about the DC fast one for using Tesla superchargers while on road trips? I would personally use the GM one if they have it in stock. Yes its twice the cost of some of the Amazon ones but its also a GM warrantied item and any issues with the battery or charging later on cant be attributed to a 3P adapter. I've been using the GM one since last September in mine with 0 issues.

Also remember to activate your Tesla charger access in the app so that its all ready to go. Unlike owning a Tesla where its plug and go, you need to activate charging via the app each time and make sure there is a CC added for billing.

Get the GM adapter. That way if something goes wrong or damaged, GM can't claim you did not have an approved adapter. The gamble is not worth the saving the extra money.
Thank you- I appreciate the feedback

When I bought my 3X a month ago, I received enough GM store credit to buy the GM adapter with a few dollars left over. No reason not to use OEM here.

Thank you- I think the overwhelming response has been to go with OE GM so that is what I will do- thanks to all for responding.
