Bose systems seem different Truck vs. SUV

Now that I have lived in the SUV for a bit after having experience with the Truck, the Bose systems sound quite a bit different. The subs locations, enclosures and speaker size are different. The SUV is loaded in the rear left side cargo area and appears larger than the 5.25 custom enclosure box under the rear seats of the Truck. The high and mid range speakers sound similar, but the centerpoint vocals sound very clear in the SUV. Not that they didn't in the Truck, but they go to max volume without distortion in the SUV.

In terms of overall bass, which is the typical gripe I've heard about these Bose Hummer systems, I would say it is right up there with a higher end factory system, not the very best systems, but still impressive. It is tuned low to mid, vs high--more like a HK system. That's not a bad thing when not driving too much RMS amp power. Bose is known for the directional and efficient sound technology and I do believe it’s present in the vehicle. I'm coming from a B&W BWM X7 and I can tell you the highs and midrange in that system are more crisp and more separated than the Bose, but the bass is on par, which really surprised me. I feel the Hummer system is tuned more to the mid and low range similar to the Harmon Kardon X5 system found in 2023 and later vehicles which is known to be a very good A rated factory system.

Overall, not as shabby as some has suggested. Probably better than the Rivian system, on par with Tesla. Probably an 8.5/10 for a factory system. I’d rate my B&W x7 as a 9 for reference. I do feel whatever system is in the SUV is a full one point rating better than the truck.

I agree. Was a little worried because a handful of people were claiming the SUV sound system to be bad. But if I had to give it a score its about an 8.5 B+ for me. Not the best I have ever heard by a longshot, but definitely decent enough to satisfy.
It’s a big cabin, polycarbonate roof, limited spaces to stick speakers, etc. they did a decent job
