Are 2026 HEV trucks with carbon wheels the only model capable of 1160HP

GMC has been heavily marketing the maximum HP of 2026 models. 1160HP claimed. I find it hard to believe that this is HP rating is limited to the Carbon Fiber version. I just can not see how dropping 100 or less in rim rate on a 9000+ vehicle makes that big of a difference.

What's your thoughts?

All 3X Hummers with the 24 Module pack get the increased power. They have been marketing the Carbon Fiber Edition because it's a 3X standard and lighter wheels means it can get to the estimated 2.8 Second 0-60 easier.

Oops, I was wrong. GMC describes the color as Ember. For some strange reason, GMC seems to be following Jeep and Ford Bronco halo vehicle color highlights even though the the majority of Jeep and Bronco Raptor customers hate the bright red accent. I’m a Jeep 392 owner with the dark seats. I’m also not surprised that Jeep withdrew the red accent based a strong customer feedback.

I seem to recall reading that the 2026 electric motors were upgraded over previous years. Other than that, it seems like the rest of the improvements are software related.

I'll add that i believe the upgrades to the 2026 are much more significant than GM portrayed.
1) huge increase in towing capacity for 3x models
2) huge HP rating for 3x max range models
3) a massive UI update in terms of both performance and integration with Google services

I wonder whether GM downplayed the enormity of the changes in order to protect dealers sitting on 1000s of unsold 2024 and 2025 models.
