I think it could a little, but I think we could also see people converting the H2's and H3's to electric like what's already being done with the H1.I'm curious if anyone thinks this new electric Hummer will breathe life back into the brand and have people looking to buy old ones again.
Thoughts?
I'm with @rusty_taco I think the Hummer EV is opening a whole new group of buyers to GM. But I think there's going to still be a solid group of buyers that used to own Hummers (like me lol)I think the buyer demographic of the new electric truck is going to be very unlike the H2, H1, or H3. The Hummer is going to probably conquest a lot of people out of big GM trucks that are newer. This should not affect demand of the old Hummer trucks very much one way or another, in my opinion.
However, if the new Hummer does burnish the brand enough that people think Hummer is cool again -- Hummer is the hot status symbol again -- then people could start buying up the old Hummers again. We will see!
I am not sure whether this will have any affect. I find Hummer Owners are loyal to their vehicles. They are iconic. Like myself the Owners are not quick to get rid of them.I'm curious if anyone thinks this new electric Hummer will breathe life back into the brand and have people looking to buy old ones again.
