I am hoping to make the Hummer EV a family hauler for at least that length of time.
The seats are not leather. They are made of a synthetic material (not vinyl).

The Hummer Ev will be a great family daily driver, but consuming 625 wh/mi, not cheap if you use DC fast charging on the road?We have traditionally had a Tahoe or Yukon to haul the kids around. Is there any reason the Hummer EV can't be a Tahoe/Denali/Escalade replacement for a family car? We typically keep cars for 6+ years.
One random question - are the seats leather? I would like some luxury feel if I am spending $100k+
The seats are indeed a synthetic leather, but supposedly they are extremely similar and feel very supple. You won't be disappointed. We have traditionally had a Tahoe or Yukon to haul the kids around. Ya, I cannot see piling the kids into any EV for a cross country trip on a regular basis. Maybe Lucid Air, where you can drive all day before stopping to charge overnight.I think it is a good family SUV/truck for those that don’t do a lot of long road trips.
The Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade EVs will be on the market about a year or two after the Hummer SUV if you can wait a little longer. They will be cheaper with better range. We have traditionally had a Tahoe or Yukon to haul the kids around.
