It has to be close. I would think they want to start to get solid orders in the system even if the production date is a ways out.
Ya, thats why I went from 10% likelihood all the way to 25% likelihood from this week to next week. Do they really need orders though? The first editions will be batch built, and assigned to customers after building based on logistics?? I would guess, more like how Tesla does it. I think GM is going to put these right on trucks to the dealerships from the factory, as that saves a month over the typical logistics time, which is a lot of $$$ when you are talking about $113K EV's.

I am hopeful just like everyone else, even though I have the EV3X, I want some of you to get your hands on them and report back to the forum. We are lucky too, that we have BigJonEV as an insider here to help us all out as we wait patiently. I guess that I should probably stop by my dealer and introduce myself and let them know that I am serious... Maybe I can get them to divulge some info as to how much interest they have here in Columbia SC and how many 1st Edition orders they have. Hopefully they will be getting one to display as well...

So would next week have a 50% chance lol
With Bolt drama dominating the GM headlines I am losing hope that tomorrow is going to be the day some of us get good news. Looking forward to next week at this point. I think GM marketing will want to make announcements when the market is neutral, or positive, right now is gm sentiment is a bit down in the dumps. I am 35% for next week, 50% for the following week and 75% for first week in August (earnings week), and 98% for the 2nd week in August, if we do not hear by then, I think there will be a delay.

I saw the same email, but just a newsletter. I have looked several times today and our order guide has not updated to include the Hummer.
How many times did you refresh the order guide today? haha! I am curious has GMC reached out to the dealership to train a Hummer specialist yet? This is something I expected GMC will do at some point, maybe ever take some people from the dealerships to an off road camp for hands on training?

Just got an email from Rivian, they have slipped initial deliveries again, now stating September. GM now has a chance to beat them with the first EV truck!

Bummer, I had assumed this would happen. I love Rvian, and think RJ is best in class, but first time for a company launching a new vehicle is hard. Not to mention, Rivian is not like GM where they can borrow staff from other programs to insure on time launches if they need to, they have what they have, and thats all they have.

Today, 7/16/21 I spoke with the GM at the dealership. They have 10 EV1 orders at their dealership with another 88 on a waiting list. They are still waiting on GM to open the order bank. He states that they are expecting it to be soon. Also, he offered that ALL the dealers had to commit to EV programs and make 200K in updates to their current facility to accommodate ALL future EVs. The dealership is all in and eagerly awaiting as we all are. Stay tuned....

Wow, over 8X on the waiting list, sounds like they will have no trouble filling the orders.

Hey Boss, GM is starting the week with several minor EV announcements, and therefore my confidence is increasing that this week or next we will hear from GM. Please keep us in the loop?

There was a commercial charger support announcement that slipped through the cracks this morning because the stock market was having panic attack at the opening, then it came out during an investor roundtable that GMC is going to have an EV pickup in addition to Hummer. Of course, we already knew that, but investment analysts do not go off of rumors the way we do, they go off of announcements, so GMC clearly is ready to start making news again after a quiet month or so.

Thanks. Hadn’t heard about the commercial charger info. Will have to look it up.
