Happy Thanksgiving to all!!
I heard that all orders needed to be in by Dec 5th & the Edition One's would be fulfilled in the order of the reservations. If you received the "Next Step" email (pick accessories & verify with your Dealer) & do not have your order in after 3 weeks, then you lose your place in line, but not your reservation. I think Dec. 5th might be the first batch of orders that make it into production...but it's all speculation on my part...
I was a little worried that they would be allocating verified orders to production FIFO once the email was sent on Tuesday, and in my case, since the email came the week of Thanksgiving, there was no one at the Dealership who could accept my order when I got the email :-/. This year, with a little inventory to sell, many Dealer Managers are taking a long holiday.
In the end, my Dealership GSM came in & we stumbled through the process....with a glitch or two.
The confirmation email once verified says we will be notified as our Edition One's move through production. This process was not in the GM Workbench, I did not see, on the dealer side or in my emails from GMC, any order number or Workbench Status codes.
I will keep everyone in the loop on when I get further contact/info. We have all waited, some patiently, some not so patiently. I feel very fortunate that my order is in the first batch, I am not always this lucky ☘.
My biggest concern at this point is the current significant congestion at the Lansing CN railyard. Since my Edition One is going to burn it's fair share of diesel on a train to Oregon...my wait might be much longer than 6-12 weeks :-/. I hope this clears up by the time mine is built.
