Everyone remembers their first vehicle and the moment of joy it brought you to finally hit the road on your own.

What was the first car that you could call your own? For me it was a worn 1989 Toyota Tercel. There wasn't much to it but it somehow lasted for many years without many problems (thank God haha).

69 Camaro Z-28 302 was my first car, in 1986 I paid $3700 for that car, it was all original with 48000 original miles from the original owner. I think the people who had it before me never drove it very hard, as it smoked when I first got it and the previous owner told me it used some oil. After a couple months banging off the 7000 RPM rev limiter, every gear, and every day it quit smoking (other than the tires), gained power, and stopped using oil. I learned Chevy 302's like to be driven hard, very hard! After driving it for 4 years I sold it for $6500, best car investment I ever made, although had I just stashed it away in the garage it would have been worth a fortune now.

20 Sierra AT4: amazing truck full of features but no point in keeping while waiting for new HEV. Sold this bad boy for 9k over what I paid for it after tacking on 17k miles!!!
19 Jetta Tiguan for my dad mobile while waiting for the HEV. Got a killer deal on the Sierra and just wanted cheap suv with third row seating
Wife got the 20 mustang Mach-e: super fun car but has a few issues. Overall we love it!

Of course there were a few burner cars and loaners in between but this is my main list from 16 to current (37)

The three door Acura Integra (86 I think). One of the best cars I ever had. Had a large hatch area so it was great for trekking back and forth to college.

'71 Cadillac Coupe Deville (1986)... Handed down from my grandparents... It had some amazing features for a car from that era... It had auto dimming headlights, power seats (which I really needed since I was maybe 5' tall), it had an old analog radio that actually had a seek function (but the antenna did not work or something since it would never actually pick up a station).... It had a 472 V8... I had 2 other hand me down cars and then bought the 1st car of my choice at college graduation, and then my '05 Silverado... So I am only at 5 cars at 50 years old.... But I have had 4 street motorcycles 3 of which I still have...

The year was 2007 and my dad bought me for my 16th birthday a new body 2007 Chevy Silverado Z71 LTZ And at that time it was considered a hard loaded truck at $45k msrp

1991 Mercury Sable--- that car took a beating but it was tough and made it 4 long years before it finally gave up haha
