Watch the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT hit it's power limit and get power limited after repeated acceleration.


Looks like Ford is protecting those undersized components in the battery in my option.

This could be the main contactor overheating issue, but also could be inadequate drive unit inverter MOSFET/DC link cooling. I believe Hummer WTF mode takes a few seconds to rev up the cooling pumps prior to allowing high-amp launches and boost drive unit glycol and/or DU oil pump cooling flow. All Mach-e's, including the GT, were having these track-mode repeat-acceleration power-limiting issues prior to the contactor recall. We'll have to see how the Blazer SS in WOW mode handles similar scenarios.
