Update on 4 wheel steering for SUT?

Any update on four wheel steering for the hummer truck. I have seen plenty of mentions of crabwalk but only one mention in a previous forum about four wheel steering. Is this something that GMC is still thinking about bringing to the table or will this be in later years.

Sorry, I so not understand your question? "Crabwalk" is a mode used by the 4WS system, all of the Hummer EV SUT's I have seen were equipped with 4WS. So if the truck has Crabwalk, it has 4WS...

Sorry let me clarify crabwalk is both front and rear steering in same direction. Will the HEV also be able to do opposing direction steering for tighter steering like they are talking about with the new silvErado. I’ve seen very little on this aspect of 4ws

It's the same system, 4WS will be standard on all HummerEV's 2x or above, Crabwalk is an additional software only feature that will come standard on Edition 1, but can be purchased for any 4WS equipped Hummer. I am not sure if GM will offer Crabwalk on the Silverado as they may intend fo that to be a Hummer exclusive feature?

GM has shown the 4WS system on all the Hummer SUT advertising, go back and watch the unveil video, they show it in action, both in crab and opposite mode.

Thanks for clarification. I saw it on the unveil video but like with the generator ability I wasn’t sure if we would only get partial ability on first edition or SUV vs SUT.
Seems they have put the crab walk feature at the forefront and downplayed the opposing steering. Seemed more prevalent in the SUV reveal.

The generator feature was not shown on the SUT reveal, but was shown on the SUV reveal, which told me that feature is coming later. Silverado EV will likely have a generator feature as that is pitched more against the F150 lighting.

In the original SUT reveal the Extract Mode was shown as late arrival (software update), and the 22" wheels were shown as 2023 Model year availability .

So the crab walk is going to be a software upcharge on 2x and 3x?

Aw that’s a bummer. I knew the extract mode was an update coming later but wasn’t aware crab walk would be a subscription. I’m sure I’ll never use it but would be cool to show off to my friends lol

I just looked at GM's website, they are not charging to use crab walk on the 2x or above, its listed in the standard specs...

That’s what I was basing my info off of, I thought you just had some inside info I wasn’t aware of. You almost ruined my night E Tron!

Sorry about that... I misread the website the first time, and then went back to check. Mercedes though is charging customers to use the full articulation on their 4ws, I would not put it past GM to do something similar. All Auto companies are looking at every opportunity to create subscriptions income in the future.
If costs keep rising as quickly as they have recently I wouldn’t be surprised if they start peeling off a few of these and making them optional or part of a subscription service. Keeping my fingers crossed that won’t be the case
