I read this and though it was interesting. Motortrend really liked the R1T, to compare it favorably to the Raptor and TRX, how is the Hummer going to do in these comparisons? Will GM knock it out of the park? Only 1 more week before we find out.

This relates mainly to crawling, though - I've yet to see the Rivian doing 80 mph through whoops like a Raptor or TRX (even if, yes, you still have to worry about gearing and modes there). Interested to see how the Rivian or Hummer suspension handle more Baja-style off roading.

The Rivian broke some suspension parts already on there trail ride.
Ya, the Rivian prototype broke a pre production part, while severe off roading. Motortrend did not seem too concerned that it was a design issue, but in full disclosure they shared it.

There have also been at least 3 HummerEv prototypes recovered or towed along the freeways, which have been photographed. I think that is all part of testing, to get the bugs out.

You seem pretty sure on the embargo. Still feeling pretty confident in the 10/1 timeframe?
Yes, I think the HummerEV embargo is through next week, should open up on the weekend 10-1 thru 10-5. I did not ask for the exact date-time, because if I seem to eager, I am liable to get cut off from information.

Rivian R1T info might be coming sooner

Rivian floodgates should open soon. I think the embargo for the last two media events lifts next week. The dozen owners who have taken delivery are also under NDA, not sure what the restrictions are.
Rivian has not delivered vehicles to the public yet, the batch they built are in Colorado doing media drives now...

Perhaps I spoke of things that were not formally announced yet. I can assure you everything I said in my previous post is 100% accurate. Rivian lifts the press embargo next week - 9/28. As of my above post, they had delivered, or scheduled delivery of 12 of the first trucks off the line. I know someone who had already taken delivery. I get to see his R1T and play with it on Tuesday.
