Just posted InsideEV charging tests on the Rivian R1T 0-100% or 314 EPA miles added in 1:37 in cold weather
He did the Rivian test on the EV Go ChargerHe keeps saying that all EA stations are 500A capable, but that is not true according to the ABB specs on the older units.
The bottleneck now is the grid, those sudden 350 kW loads are rough for grid managersIt just makes me think what will charging speeds be like in 10 years from now. It took apple 10 years to be able to charge an iPhone in a hour.
If you talk to grid workers, line guys, electricians and such the laugh at any sort of large scale electric vehicle adoption. There are so many infrastructure issues, from homes, development services, transmission lines and such. There are studies that show for example an existing 12 lot subdivision can support something like 4 electric vehicles. Decades and trillions of dollars needed to even come close. Time will tell I guess. The bottleneck now is the grid, those sudden 350 kW loads are rough for grid managers
