We were emailed last week that we can take our trucks in after July 1st to have the truck software reprogrammed and to have the new ride height sensors installed for the extract mode.

And…. There is a recall for a suspension part, which started on July 1st.

I dropped my truck off at the dealership this morning (1/2 hour drive), but they just called me and said that both parts are backordered. Why would GM tell us that we can take our trucks in if the parts aren’t yet available? Parts won’t be available for 30-60 days. It’s not surprising that many things are on backorder, but this could’ve been handled better from a customer service standpoint.
I’d recommend that anyone needing this service to call the dealership to order the parts beforehand.

Some Dealerships have the parts in and waiting for customers, some do not and are now in back order.
Timelines sometimes don't match up how GM expects when they plan the announcements. It's a very fluid time.

I know some dealerships can call around and find the parts they need from other locations. Then other dealerships don't bother and wait for their local parts warehouse to get them in stock.

Have we verified/heard that these sensor are already included on very recent deliveries that were built more recently as well? I'm hoping that future builds when FZ reopens, should have these included - you would think so to avoid so many dealership service visits.

I am waiting for the software update, but as I have complained about the Hummer infotainment, you have to drill down in the menus to see if an update is available, not something that shows on the app as it should.

If there is a Vehicle update it will notify you in the notifications bar at the top.

The app integration with the truck is awful, truck shows a notification that they are not full synced, but the app works fine, and I am not able to clear the notification in the truck, tried all 3 methods, scan the image, sign in from truck, and sign in from app, all 3 got the same error, no compatible vehicle found, but the 2022 HummerEV shows up and works on the app. GM software glitch... I suppose.

Try activating WTF mode, that's when I got the popup in mine the day we were driving to drop it off.

when you press the bell top right what appears?
You get a profile setup notification, when you click on that you get "get started by signing into my GMC" which gives you 3 options sign in on app, sign in on vehicle, skip for now, tried signing in all 3 ways, fail fail fail "failed to find compatable vehicle, but yet the phone app shows the 2022 HummerEV in the menu, and works to operate the truck.

May want to log out of the app in the vehicle and log back in. I'd also sign out of the app on phone, and reboot phone and sign back in.

Edit: However, I think we have hijacked this thread enough LOL

Refer back to my first post here... xD

Dropped mine at the dealer today and the service team seemed pretty much clueless about what I was talking about regarding enabling Extract Mode. There was a service issue from GM for sensors that the guy found in the computer. Got a call a few hours later that they had to order new sensors and it will be a couple days to get them. So my takeaway is the dealers who have received early trucks did NOT get the sensors shipped to them by July 1 and all of this communication from Corp GM to dealer service depts is severely lacking. I guess lucky for me the dealer is only 15 min away not longer like Malaligned. Guess I wont get to use the new mode this coming weekend on our camping trip.

Currently GM dealerships are now allowed to stock any Hummer parts. We have to order all parts per need and also have to make a TAC case with GM to get anything. GM/Engineering are monitoring everything. They only just updated the protocol so when we have a bad/damaged accessory we can just get a new one from GM without having to contact GM TAC first. Still have factory install part order restriction.
