So I'm sure like me alot of people at 8pm found they could not get the first edition. I tried for 15 minutes straight with no success trying to input personal information. Like alot of you I've been a fan and owner of several models over the years and couldn't wait. My question is I see where some people are saying it took 45 minutes to get their reservation in but got first edition. That confuses me since no matter what I did I had to settle for 3x and sit on the waiting list . I got the status screen first edition reservations were full much sooner then 45 minutes. I'm confused by how this is possible . Also do you guys all have a reservation that starts 111... ? First edition guys ? Im on the waiting list as are many I'm sure.
First off, welcome to the forums,
@Dhbydesign! Glad to have you here, I think you'll find this site very informative and useful.
As far as the Edition One reservations go...this has been an issue we've been combing over here for over a week. The absolute earliest that people seemed to be able to get their E1 reservations in was between 8:45-8:55...by 9pm, everyone had pretty much taken all the reservation spots. It didn't seem like the issue was uniform across all the devices people were using to try and get in, some got in earlier than others. Could have been GMC trying to desperately sort out the issues, could have been a fluke, who knows. What we DO know is, NO ONE could get in at 8pm to reserve it. After being down for almost an hour, it took less than 10 minutes for all the Edition One's to be spoken for.
Since you mentioned you got a 3X, honestly man, I think you got the best version out of the 4. The Edition One will have the most power, be the flashiest, etc., but the 3X is the one that will be the best performance-per-dollar option, and it'll have the added benefit of not being the first version off the line...which means quality will likely be higher than the Edition Ones. If you can handle the wait until 2022, hold onto that reservation!
