So far I haven't noticed an appreciable difference. Granted it's been a fairly mild winter here in Michigan so far but it hasn't been a thing at all for me. In fact, I love that the truck heats up so quickly. All of that being said, I don't have a need to push the range on a regular basis.

Out of Spec Reviews did a test on this at 60, 70, and 80mph in cold weather.

Here were the results:

1.4 miles/kWh @ 60mph @ 15F

1.2 miles/kWh @ 70mph @ 10F

1.0 miles/kWh @ 80mph @ 8F

In comparison, InsideEVs did a 70mph range test at 78F and went 343 miles ~1.6 miles/kWh.

Based on that, we can conclude that there is approximately a 0.4 miles/kWh difference between 70mph @ 10F, and 70mph @ 78F.

Range @ 70mph/70F 343miles
Range @ 70mph/10F 254miles

Difference of 89 miles or 26%

The Out of Spec Reviews 70mph test on this same truck was 1.5 mile/kwh (318 miles) in warmer weather, he did not have the tonneau cover, but the Inside EVs test did have it. Also the GM efficiency rating on the display is truncated, so the number Kyle got is not truly accurate. For example, on his original test of 318 miles, it indicated 1.4 mile/kwh on the display, but in fact the real number was 318miles/213kwh, which is 1.49mile/kwh. The test he did in the cold are only running a short distance and using the efficiency indicator in the truck, not real battery usage. Accuracy can be off by 0.1 mile/kwh.

Using the efficiency indicator, the loss is only .2 mile/kwh, but possibly less than that.
