Yes, this happens sometimes, I think can be many glitches, cell reception, could be anything, My SC not working at all right now, after a software update.
Yes, this happens sometimes, I think can be many glitches, cell reception, could be anything, My SC not working at all right now, after a software update.Lately I’ve been encountering issues with Super Cruise sometimes not working at same place on the same tollways and freeways where it was working fine before even in perfect weather. Messages range from “Super Cruise Not Available” to “No Road Information”. Anyone else having these issues? Hummer EV Concierge recommended taking it in to dealer for diagnosis.
Weather was normal. Not too hot. Happened for miles. What is the weather? Different amounts of sun can cause issues with the system. How long was the system unavailable on the road? Just for a second or miles?
Thanks! Could you also report to Hummer Concierge so they don’t think it’s just me? Maybe their engineers will fix issues more quickly if multiple owners report.Yes, this happens sometimes, I think can be many glitches, cell reception, could be anything, My SC not working at all right now, after a software update.
Likely cell reception issues, SC does not work without quality cell reception. No because it worked just fine in same spot two weeks ago. Also, even now it sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t in same areas.
Gotcha. No because it worked just fine in same spot two weeks ago. Also, even now it sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t in same areas.
When Super Cruise stops you can get the reason by hitting the super cruise button. If you are seeing no road information that would be a GPS location or an override because the Highway department has notified GM that they are going to do construction in that area. (I think this is a bug and not a feature.) Let me decide when SC is on or off. I am still driving... If you are seeing these in an area you can also push the Blue OnStar button and report the problem where you are seeing it.Weather was normal. Not too hot. Happened for miles.
Do you have offline maps enabled on the vehicle? I have found that I get much more reliable super cruise operation if I have offline maps downloaded to the truck for areas that I drive regularly. I am guessing it is related to the cell signal and download speed available at the time and offline maps would cut that down substantially. No because it worked just fine in same spot two weeks ago. When in park, go to maps on the vehicle, click the settings cog, then go to where it says offline maps. You can then add a map by zooming in/out and save it.Where/how do you enable offline maps for roads you drive regularly?
Tried that. Downloaded offline map and tried same freeway that had always worked before and still nothing. Message says “Super Cruise Unavailable”.When in park, go to maps on the vehicle, click the settings cog, then go to where it says offline maps. You can then add a map by zooming in/out and save it.
Is the truck getting any cell signal, also do you have anything that could be blocking the sensors on the bumpers or the camera behind the windshield?Tried that. Downloaded offline map and tried same freeway that had always worked before and still nothing. Message says “Super Cruise Unavailable”.
Getting great cell signal and nothing blocking the sensors on bumpers or camera behind windshield. Taking it in for service this week for them to troubleshoot and will report back.Is the truck getting any cell signal, also do you have anything that could be blocking the sensors on the bumpers or the camera behind the windshield?
This really sounds like the section of the road has been disabled for pending construction. Is the "No Road Information" available part of the message?Getting great cell signal and nothing blocking the sensors on bumpers or camera behind windshield. No. It does not say No Road Information Available. There is construction 5 miles further down but that construction has been going on for over a year and the Super Cruise was working on that road fine the last couple months. No new construction in other words. This really sounds like the section of the road has been disabled for pending construction. Is the "No Road Information" available part of the message?
I really think you are suffering from the issue I have been arguing with the Super Cruise team for years. Don't turn Super Cruise off when you get an alert from a State's Department of transportation. I am driving and if I let Super Cruise crash I did it not Super Cruise.No. It does not say No Road Information Available.
