They’ve been driving it all around there for the past week. I’m surprised these are the first “spy” shots we’ve seen. And yes, the Hummer is driving with escort vehicles on public roads...

Hummer EV prototypes were caught out testing. Just as they promised.

Cool, this should quiet the "Hummer is fake" crowd...

I tracked down the photo locations, In all 3 photos the Hummer EV is on GM property. It looks like they took this from one side of Twelve Mile Road to the other. Looks to me like GM intentionally wanted to "leak" these.

@StillHummer did you notice the change to the leading edge of the hood? Am I imagining things here? It seems to me that they lowered the tip, wanting more air over the top? haha! Not sure if subtle changes make much different aerodynamically on this beast.

Pre-production model I suppose as there are subtle differences between the reveal model and this one. Did you notice the different side mirrors as well? Can't wait!!
Good Eye, I missed the mirrors, Hmmm, I have not seen that mirror design before... I wonder if that is production representative?

Yeah I think these were intentionally put out by GM, hence why I had “spy” in quotes above when I referenced the spy shots. Hehe. That was the first impression I had when it was being shot through the fence and the framing on all of these is very tight and well, they don’t look like shots nabbed by casual onlookers. I think we’ll start seeing more pics now that people know there is indeed at least one live mule running about. I know someone who has more knowledge of this and was telling me last week that they’re test driving without camouflag. They can’t take or show pictures themselves. My source said they were allowed to say the truck is being tested in the open. I think they want people trying to get spy shots and to get some media buzz going. I’d be swinging by there periodically to try and grab pics/ video, but that’s a bit difficult when I’m 1200 miles away...

The next several months will be exciting as we see more of these driving around.

I like the original mirrors better than the ones on these "spy" photos... These mirrors do not seem to flow or match with the vehicle... They also have what looks like the old Hummer H2 nerf/step bars that do not look that great to me either...

GM just announced that they just started winter testing so the timing of these photos makes complete sense.

I actually thought the same thing! Lol. It looks like the hood is dipped downward at first glance, but when you mentioned it, I looked at some of the images GMC released at the reveal, and I think it's an optical illusion brought on by the fact that the "light bar" in this pre-production model is mostly black plastic instead of the bright white beams, so the contrast in color is drawing our eyes to the area more. But that's just my guess! It looks pretty close to identical when you compare back and forth.
