The first ever C8 Corvette, VIN 001 sold for $3 million! Rick Hendrick bought it and others too like the final C7 Corvette for $2.7 million, $225,000 for the first Chevy Volt and even the first current generation Acura NSX for $1.2 million! I think the HUMMER EV has real potential to be where the C8 was, especially if Rick is bidding, which I'm sure he will.

There was also a 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing VIN 001 that sold for $265,000.00 (MSRP $85,000)

Hendrick was looking at the Hummer while I was there, he definitely had an interest in it.

I think it goes just over $1.5 mil. But I don't think it sells for the most of the #001 cars being auctioned off. I think it finishes second behind the Bronco.
Possible, but I think the Hummer will sell for the most of the 001's especially for somebody like Hendrick that is joined at the hip with GM. Only one more day to wait.. Exciting!!!

I thought for sure the Bronco would be the highest. Oh well happy to be proven wrong. $1.075 is not too shabby.
Ya, the Bronco is a great design, but does not present anything new (still ICE power, and body on frame) . Hummer EV is much more modern, and with the excitement around EV's the Hummer EV is the right vehicle at the right time. Same with the Ram TRX, its cool, but 10 years too late to be amazing. Also the Cadillac Blackwing twins, might be the best Cadillac sedans ever, but noting new and exciting moving forward.

Top 5 sellers of the auction

  • 1966 Shelby Cobra Super Snake - $5,000,000
  • 2022 GMC Hummer #001 - $2,500,000
  • 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 - $2,250,000
  • 2018 Ford GT '67 LeMans Heritage Edition - $1,100,000
  • 2021 Ford Bronco #001 - $1,075,000

It's pretty crazy seeing the Hummer in between two legendary cars like the Cobra super snake and the 275 GTB/4.
