To switch your reservation from the HUMMER EV pickup to SUV, follow these steps that GMC provided. Also, participate in the poll. It will be interesting to see what the numbers are like!

Nope, the SUT fits much better for my family.
Didn't switch, will hang on to both for the moment.

I am keeping my SUT reservation, but I did switch my Rivian from the R1T to the R1S, so I will get an SUV for my wife, and I will drive the truck. The Hummer is a way better truck than the R1T, in my opinion. The Rivian does offer a 3rd row in the SUV as well, so that can be an advantage for the R1S over the Hummer SUV.

Agree with you, R1S is a better SUV option considering GMC's design direction on the Hummer EV. I really think the Hummer SUV missed a big segment of the market by not going 3 row (IMO a mistake). I would order an R1S but first want to see Rivian get a year or so under their belt, launching a car company is hard, and I am sure Rivian will have some major challenges the first year. I remember the first Tesla Model S, POS... Drive units failing, door handles it was a nightmare for the people who bought 2012's My buddy had 2 drive units and 4 door handles go out in his.

No. My family LOVES taking off the top and doors on my Jeep and going for a ride. The truck offering back window that goes down will provide more of a convertible experience than just the roof panels of the SUV.

Also, a truck bed allows more cargo options than an enclosed area. I prefer the capacity to haul something oversized or dirty/smelly in a bed as opposed to using a trailer with an SUV. That is my current setup and it is not ideal. I have switched from Jeep’s to trucks most of my adult life due the preferences listed above. The SUT is the best of both worlds.

One small thing to note, the SUV also has a rear window that drops down...that being said, the rear roof over the cargo area is fixed. Either way, airflow should be just about as thorough in the SUV as the SUT. Can't argue the utility of a truck bed, though!
