Before submitting I went to the dealer and had sales manager sign the MSRP, then submitted.

Just got a call from the sales manager of my dealership. I may be the first customer. In any case, going in to finalize the specs and confirm the price.

you can do that online dont need to go into dealer
Hello. New to this forum here but figured I would get in as I have my Hummer EV SUV Edition 1 already configured and confirmed. So, you verify it through the email sent and then dealer calls you from my experience. I then had to go to my Dealer and sign the confirmation sheet and pricing sheet. They then put through order and told me it went through to GM.....

Welcome to Hummer Chat @HummerEVJoe and congrats on your Edition 1 order! Have you been given any timeframe about getting your SUV?

Thanks for the Welcome JimsH3! The Dealer told me timeframe is usually 3-5 months(but have seen orders come in as early as 6 weeks) however they are going from regular GM orders and NOT the Hummer EV orders as I was the first one to get mine confirmed and ordered through their dealerships. However, the GM of dealer told me that usually when a car/truck gets ordered they will get a build date back within a few weeks so hoping to hear something from them in that timeframe...I will keep all updated and hope everyone does the same.

This was probably answered many times over, but am I correct in that GMC contacted you for your build and not the dealer you selected?

Just went to my dealer, Ziegler GMC in Lincolnwood , Illinois. I met with the sales manager and confirmed my build. He then told me that there would be an ADM of $50,000. I told him no thank you and left.

That’s why you confirm all this stuff long before time to finalize that way you could have changed dealers. Once you get to this point they have your name by the balls you pay up or miss out
So you can't change dealers at this point ...as long as you haven't finalized with the crook?
You used to be able to change dealers as long as you didn’t finalize with the dealership. However, switching dealers required you to call the concierge and they would create a new reservation for you and then copy your reservation number over to the new one. Once GM stopped taking new reservations Their system does not allow them to create a new one for you and transfer your existing one over. There have been several people here on the forum and on Facebook that have attempted to do so unsuccessfully.

Expected we sees some ADM’s but $50K is something else.
It’s also clear that GM could care less. I’m the type of customer they should be cultivating, but there seems to be no effort on their part.
Once GM assigns the vehicle to the dealership or sells the vehicle to the dealership(it's invoiced to them) there is very very very little they can do... they can write nasty emails and try to limit allocations to dealerships that continually push High ADMs but dealer franchise laws limit their ability.

The best course of action any consumer can make is get it in writing/agree on pricing before any action is taken for the vehicle.

I understand that. That’s why I cancelled my order. Hopefully, the dealership won’t get this allocation.
In any case, I’m moving on to a non-GM SUV.

i called my dealer last year and they said msrp but also said it was too early to sign anything. So i was in the process of switching to McElveen ford but not a week later reservations were closed. Now my objective is at least not letting the dealership have the order...anyone know what happens to the order? does it just get cancelled?

After a week of trying to nail down the GM & sales manager I was able to get written confirmation of no ADM from my dealer. Order was submitted today. While I am happy about my situation, I am torn up over those on here that are getting screwed over by the end dealer. GM execs can and should address the dealers that are taking these excessive measures. GM is the one that takes the brand hit, not the imheretoscrewthem dealership.

Sorry to hear about the bs they played..it probably won't help but if you Google them I left some kind words.( zeigler buick gmc of lincolnwood reviews - Google Search )

I hate when people try to take advantage.

I myself have been saving for a while and they act like "OH you don't need that truck or SUV" in reality the last ones in mass production are already 13 years old ..mine is pushing 220k miles and I hate everything else out now.

I just think everyone cries and whines about crap when they can also leave reviews about companies doing the WRONG THING.

Again sorry for the crap you have had to deal with, I wish GM would step up and honor their "MSRP price sale only clause" on the Hummer EV and the Vettes but we all see how they have back stepped and now the inmates run the prison.
