Ive been told my Dealer installed accessories are here, just don't have the truck!

I know that there has been some discussion here before that the tailgate step lighting and the tailgate audio system are in the same location and that you could only have 1 or the other... But then several people have said that they ordered both... So I for one would like to see it if both work in the same spot...

I definitely ordered both but it’s possible the system wasn’t fully caught up on that bit of detail.

I think that @Tom E-Tron had said that he thought that it was one or the other since they reside in the same location... I guess we will see... It would be cool to have both... Keep us posted

Okay.... I think I solved it....

The kicker Audio System uses the lights from the Tailgate Step Lighting Kit... They pop them out of the plastic shroud from that kit and place them into the Kicker system. Without that kit, the Kicker system would just have two plastic placeholder plugs where the lights would be.

So in the end you will have 2 large spare decorative plastic parts, from the Tailgate Step Lighting Kit, and 2 smaller plastic light plugs; from the Kicker system kit.

We were not wrong that they both occupy the same location, just that one kit has parts discarded and used for another, if both bought.

I'm ordering all my other accessories, including lighting package, splash guards, etc., directly from GMC Accessories @ GMC Accessories. I can get an excellent price, and I didn't want to risk the vehicle being held up at the dealer waiting for accessories to arrive or get installed.

I have my VIN and that beast should be rolling into town any day now!

I was tempted to get fewer accessories due to it potentially getting delayed, but I was told by my dealer that its on track for delivery in the next week or two. It was also confirmed by the dealer that all options that are replacing a factory option are property of the buyer. So they will provide me with the original emblems, wheels, etc.
