Hello everyone! Glad I found this site, seems to be a ton of great info so far. I'm a previous 2003 H2 owner, and one of the lucky ones to get on the list for an Edition 1 (around 45 minutes after it opened up)

Sold the H2 right when we had our daughter 14 years ago, can't say how excited I am to have one again almost 20 years after purchasing the first one :)

Hey @B4Real, welcome aboard the HummerChat forums! Awesome to have you here, you're one of a long list of members who were former Hummer owners! I think you'll really enjoy this site, lots of great people here with the best Hummer EV info on the web.

Congrats on reserving an Edition One! That was the Holy Grail for most people here lol, and it wasn't easy to secure. You seem to have gotten one right as they fixed the reservation system bugs. (y) (y) Also, how'd you like the H2? That seems to be the most common Hummer of all the prior Hummer owners here, its looking like the H2 is coming back to popularity again!

I absolutely loved the H2, and looking back wish we never got rid of it when we did. I've owned Corvettes, had an older Camaro, a Mustang at different parts of my life, none of them were cars that you dared to modify at the time, so for me, it was a nice change of pace to add modifications to something I was driving and make it mine.

On the reservation, I was like a lot of people, got on line exactly when it opened, and noticed they had a lot of issues, front side javascript I believe (not sure what framework they were in) where it was missing entire fields, or submit buttons, I was trying on 3 different browsers as well as two different mobile devices in case it was on my end. Clearing cookies, clearing my cache, etc for pretty much 45 minutes straight. Being a software developer myself, I knew they were all probably in a panic state on their end, and working hard at getting it fixed, with tons of stress at the time, and at some point, they would get it right, so I hung in there and kept trying. I started to see "movement" right before I got in, where I'd get one step further in the process before it blew up, then closer and closer, and was pleasantly surprised when it all finally landed. Nothing like real-time, live testing lol

Welcome to Hummer Chat @B4Real! Congrats on your reservation! We're really cornering the market on First Edition holders here haha. How long did you have that beautiful H2 for?

Welcome aboard @B4Real! Were you thinking about pre-ordering any other electric trucks or just the Hummer?
Well, we also have a Ford Mustang Mach-E on order, it arrives mid-March of 2021. Honestly, it was going to be my replacement for my Chevy Bolt until I saw what the Hummer looked like, and got lucky enough to get on the reservation list. The wife and I went and looked at a demo Mach-E at our dealership last week and that's now going to become my wife's daily driver :) So we'll be a two BEV family.

That's going to be a great looking driveway with those two! I haven't seen a Mach-E in person yet, what stood out for you when you saw it?

The seats were super comfortable, the lines on the vehicle were also nice, my wife was considering either the Explorer or Edge, but the interior on the Mach-E was just really nice as well as storage space in the back. It will also be the only Ford vehicle in 2021 with their version of supercruise. The one disappointment was that Ford hasn't brought in a camera rearview mirror, as GM has. I have it on my Chevy Bolt and basically, never want a standard rearview mirror again :) I've seen the same mirror on some of the pre-production Hummers, but honestly haven't found documentation yet on if it will be available, I'm hoping it's part of the Ultravision package.
