Welcome to the Forum... We all want to know when GM is going to open the floodgate for orders? Finally got around to joining the forum. I have an EV1 on order for both the truck and suv. Im the GSM at Marvin K Brown Cad Buick GMC. If I can help with any info feel free to reach out. Ive seen the Hummer EV1 in person, we actually did a youtube video on it.. I cant wait to get mine and take it out off roading.
Haha hopefully all good. I'm not planning on marking up any of our order units. From what GMC tells us we are in the top 5 maybe top 3 for orders on the west coast.Welcome to the Forum. Glad to have another dealership on here especially in GSM capacity. I'm just a salesman, but doing the best I can with what info I have on here. I worked out at Weseloh Chevrolet before they sold and have heard a lot about your dealership.
I ask every week haha I just get told "soon" ... Typical GM fashion everything is moving slow hahaWelcome to the Forum... We all want to know when GM is going to open the floodgate for orders?
Same here. I have had a Chevy Bolt since 2017 and got the new 2020 when my lease was up. I'm here because I really like electric vehicles and everything about them. I have an Edition 1 SUV on reserve so I'm in the waiting game as well for selling and buying.Haha hopefully all good. I'm not planning on marking up any of our order units. As I get more info I'll try to update the forum.
I'm truly here as an enthusiast not trying to push the store or sales volume. If I can help I'll try, if someone chooses to do business with MKB, it's much appreciated and I'll do my best to take care of you.
I hope all the dealers get away from marking up prices on the EV's... It's really a shortsighted business strategy, and irritating to customers.Haha hopefully all good. They promise they have set aside everything they need to push out the reservations.
Ya, I have no idea about dealership economics or how you guys make you commissions, but as a customer a markup would piss me off... big time... I talked to my local dealership before I ordered, and made sure there would be no Hummer Markups. It only keeps us all from moving forward as car dealers being open and transparent. The markup game is exactly that a game and trying to find a dealer that doesn't shouldn't be a part of the car buying experience.
We have been marking up other stuff lately. Not something I like doing but with little or no inventory and every dealer around us marking up we eventually followed suit. Although we have maintained lower markups than the competition. Its a very odd market right now. But we arent planning on it for the EVs. Plus I dont think GM will allow it. Now the interesting thing is there is no mark up between MSRP and Invoice. Some holdback but mostly dealer money paid way after the sale for being complaint. Its really designed to be about maintaining brand image and customer service, which is good direction for everyone involved.I hope all the dealers get away from marking up prices on the EV's... Ya, its a weird time right now. My dealership offered me higher trade in on my 2020 GMC 2500HD Denali, then I paid for it in 2019. He said they need HD's badly, new or used.We have been marking up other stuff lately. The used car market is starting to turn. For about 3 months the used values kept going up and up. Recently the books have been crashing. I had a Jeep Gladiator drop 5k in a week.Ya, its a weird time right now. My dealership offered me higher trade in on my 2020 GMC 2500HD Denali, then I paid for it in 2019. This is interesting about the invoice vs MSRP. I used to run a GM store so I am familiar with holdback but based on holdback of other $80k+ cars I hope they have a bigger holdback for all you Hummer dealers to justify the investment you had to make to sell them.We have been marking up other stuff lately.
