Likely around areas GM knows will get skuffs or would wear easily so they put something hard in those locations. It may be a Lux truck but it's still a truck used for off-roading.
Pretty much on target with my expectations, too much body movement, cheap interior materials and not enough capability for something so huge... Easy vehicle to like, Easy vehicle to hate...In case you missed it; 2022 GMC Hummer EV Pickup Pros and Cons Review: A Wild, Wild Ride
I would like to see what interior pieces are cheap. Otherwise, I am happy with everything they said, including the wind noise. I suspected it and not concerned, coming out of a hardtop Rubicon.
Raptors have better body control...Reading that review, I see they are trying to use the Hummer as a normal Silverado and not a Raptor, all the complaints they had would be the same for a Raptor, with the softer shocks, lower payload and towing and a few of the other little things they noted. These are all common Off-Roading Truck issues.
I had a 2019 Raptor, for about 6 months. I wasn’t impressed with the power and the fake engine noise couldn’t be turned off and it bothered me. One of the shortest times I have ever owned a vehicle.Raptors have better body control...
I have never owned a Ford (other then a 1976 maverick,I had 2), but had a buddy with a Raptor and rode in it a few times, seemed fine, but I was not really paying attention.I had a 2019 Raptor, for about 6 months. They are talking about braking from high speed, in that case regen has less effect, it is limited to a certain number of kW the battery can take at whatever SOC they are at... If you have it charged to 90% or above you do to have much regen at all at high speed, on any EVWhile on the roads it also sounds like they didn't use regen, or had it on the lowest setting, I don't see them mention it at all, it would help some with decelerating the vehicle.
I saw Hummers at least 4-5 times a week and the ones driving it never seemed to have any issues navigating the roads. Of course they weren't being dumb by accelerating as fast as possible every stop.
That is what I speculated it would be...Tire pressure 45 pounds on photo #8.
Come on Homer, stop defending GM for using cheap plastics in a $113K truck, there is no excuse in this price range... GM is like a teenager on drugs when it comes to hard plastics, they just cannot quit... None of that crappy plastic in the Rivian and it is much cheaper. If GM messes up the lyriq with hard plastic and cheap switches I am going to blow a fuse... I will need more blood pressure medicine.Likely around areas GM knows will get skuffs or would wear easily so they put something hard in those locations. I mean, don't you get tired of it being mentioned review after review in the negatives of GM vehicles? Every single one, Even the new Escalade is full of hard cheap GM plastic, and the same turn signal stalk from the Bolt...
Doug will mention the hard plastic too, and if it has the turn signal stalk from the Bolt, that will get Doug going...really looking forward to Doug DeMuro’s review I hope he releases it soon
Well then, be happy to know they aren't the sameDoug will mention the hard plastic too, and if it has the turn signal stalk from the Bolt, that will get Doug going...
