Curious if we’ll get the option for the kicker stereo in the pro tailgate like the Sierra? I should have ripped it out of my 2020 AT4 before I sold it!!!!

This video was a disappointment to me…. Marques is usually a lot more on top of the newer stuff, although he’s not really a car guy, especially not a truck guy. But it’s sad that as influential as he is, that GM hooked him up with the reveal prototypes and not a pre-production unit. So absolutely no new info or “exclusive” of any sort here. I suppose they’re not ready to unleash the production-ready trucks unto the media just yet, but it’s sad that Marques gets to cover the reveal trucks this close to production when so many others have already done so.

The SUV looked good backing into that parking space I guess…. I really like that matte/satin green more every time I see it.

I shouldn’t complain, it’s more pictures of the new Hummer EV and that’s good…. I’m just being impatient waiting for the real details to drop.

I agree. I enjoyed his recent review of the Tesla Model S Plaid as well as other tech reviews in the past. However, any of us could have presented the Hummer EV SUT/SUV better to his large following.

I think his review was OK, he pointed out the high points on the vehicle, and clearly said he does not get it...

Marques is a Tesla fan boy, he has been driving Tesla's for more than 5 years, but he even called out the Plaid on the Yoke, which was an awful decision by Tesla to install, I mean it looks ok, but not practical at all.

GM should take Marques for a ride on and off road in the Hummer, so he can report on what it does.

When the infrastructure supports 350KW? Where has this guy been? Oh thats right Tesla only support 250KW.

Ya, Marques actually made a few mistakes, he is definitely deep in the Tesla inner circle, and does not see much outside. He was more positive about the F150 lightning, perhaps because he got a ride?

That being said, don't be fooled by a high peak rate charging, what really matters is miles of range added per minute, and in that metric Tesla dominates. Only Hyundai Ioniq 5 is even close to Tesla.

When I think about an EV road trip, Bjorn Nyland's 1000km challenge's gives great insight. Anybody that wants to really get into the ins and outs of EV's, road trips, and charging should watch a few of Bjorn's videos. He can ramble and be a bit annoying at times, but is the most knowledgable person I have seen about EV's charging and road trips. He has driven them all, and even gets factory access to pre production cars from the European and Chinese OEM's, and Ford even gave him a Mach-E to test.

My biggest disappointment with the video is that this is really late in the game for Marques to finally be reviewing something. And now that he finally did, it was unfortunate that it’s still the same tired reveal prototypes with limited functionality and no new info from him that we haven’t already seen multiple other places. I get that’s still where GM is at for their media access…. This review just seemed out of place for some reason. Yes, I know Marques is a Tesla fan, yet he’s always been fair with his reviews and I thought he was pretty spot on with the Model S Plaid review.

I don’t know if Marques still plans to get his Cybertruck (he did a video a while ago saying he was getting one even though his first reaction video which sounded like he didn’t “get” trucks in the first place). Maybe the Ford ride along helped push him into liking trucks further as well. But, yea, a good fun off-road course ride could push him to the Hummer more as he seems to be a little wishy washy and will go with the latest thing! And the fact that the Hummer would be the best. 😜

In any case, I had the same reaction to it: no new information but nice for the Hummer to get more publicity from a high profile influencer.

Ya, that is true. Once they let these guys drive the Hummer, I think you are going to hear more positive reviews. I expect the Hummer driving impressions Embargo will be lifted in September, and we will be flooded with content. We just have to survive until then.

DOPE!!! I saw it on the featured list just released!!! And 750 isn’t bad for that, they were charging 1500 for it on the 20 sierra
Sad they don’t have the light bar available yet but interested to see what the tent is gonna look like/cost.
Any details on the portable lithium battery?
