So I just set up the magicbox on the truck. Might be useful now and again in traffic and such. It's a little laggy and does not fill the entire screen.

But overall worth the $389 for the unit.

It'll be interesting if eventually anyone tries to build custom Android Automotive for the vehicle. Not sure if it's possible but most Android systems are open source so it's likely it could be possible unless GMC locks it down like some phone companies do. Be nice to just sideload apps in or use a playstore download for more choices.

I'm guessing even GM could push an update to the system to include it eventually.

I used to unlock phones and install custom roms so a little intrigued about the possibility.

I already use Hulu live so that will be perfect for me. Has anyone tried Hulu yet? Is it laggy as well or does it run smoother since it’s a built in app?
The video isn't laggy, only the system is. Videos on Hulu app on truck are fine. Videos on magicbox are fine too.. it's only the app/interface is a little slow.
