“The next Ultium-based EV to launch is the stunning Cadillac Lyriq SUV,” Barra writes. “Customer interest in the Lyriq is now so strong that we will forgo a new round of reservations and begin taking customer orders soon after the Debut Edition launches in March.”
This is awesome news!

GM said within the next 60 days.

they are starting production in the next 60 days but those cars will probably end up sitting in Quality Control for 60 days and they will begin shipping in May/June best case.

Hummer production and delivery seem to contradict this statement.

Though all we can say now is we will see.

Not really, originally they said fall of 2021 and then it was pushed to end of the year and they delivered 1, which went to Lebron James I think.

I've seen GM miss more launch dates than they have hit, especially on brand new models. My CT6 Blackwing sat in QC for almost 8 months. Usually it's because of Quality Control checks. Plus I'm going off the feedback I have from our reps.

We have around 30 Lyriq reservations and we were told anticipate them closer to June.

VIN001 was delivered on the last days of Fall so they met their guidance. There were 17 production Hummers built then in December per GM and production has increased steadily since and Hummers have started being delivered in January. There was no large QC Hold.

Though again I will say we will see for the Lyriq.

We will see... Sure 1 was delivered at the very end of fall (Dec 17th?) Lol... And yea they had 17 built but they didn't arrive in December. Maybe they get the first Lyriq out to some high profile person in March but the bulk will most likely begin arriving closer to June or later. Similar to Hummer the bulk of the deliveries will be months behind the first one actually delivered
