Hello Hummer enthusiasts! I am a journalist from the Netherlands working on an article about American car culture, which of course includes the Hummer, with its origin, size and brawn.
I am looking for events in May in Michigan that I could join, and for local people who want to talk about their passion for their Hummer. If you know of any, I would really appreciate the help!

I don't think there's much going on in May. The event to go to for car enthusiasts would probably be the Woodward Dream Cruise (usually happens in August) and it's mainly vintage cars. If you want to see the latest and greatest, then the North American International Auto Show (Sep 16-24) is the place to be

Thanks for the tips! Unfortunately, I will only be in Michigan for a few days in May. The angle for the story is specifically the Hummer, so I'm looking for ways to connect with this community (provided there is one of course). Is there a place where Hummer-fans go to discuss their vehicles (a shop where they buy parts to customize their Hummer for example, or maybe a club they belong to?).

I don't think there's much of a community for Hummer owners in the USA at the moment. Gas powered Hummers have been defunct since 2010 and very few people have the new EV models.

Yes, it turns out to be a bit more of a challenge than I thought. But you never know that one of those few Hummer EV-owners happens to reside in Michigan and on this platform
