Welcome, have you ever owned an EV? The Bronco is a good looker, Ford really knocked it out of the park with that design, however wish there was an EV option, EV off roading is going to be game changing in so many ways.Hi all -
Joined to keep on top of all the happenings with the new Hummer EV.
I am a native New Yorker and have always loved the H1 platform but never pulled the trigger to buy one. Since the announcement of the EV I have been pretty stoked about getting one.
Day 1 reservation on 4/3 but missed out on the Edition 1 so opted for the 3X and waitlist.
I have a couple of Jeeps (2 dr TJ & 4 dr JK Rubicon) a Land Rover Sport HSE (some other stuff) and a 4dr Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch package on order that I am anxiously awaiting delivery for hopefully summer 2021. Looking forward to using the Hummer as intended to explore and enjoy life off the beaten path.
Looking forward to learning about this great new toy!
I have no doubt Hummer EV production will be started some time this summer, deliveries in the fall, and I expect GM is going to deliver hundreds of Hummer Ev's all at once , my only question is if fall deliveries mean Mid October as I expect, or mid December (worst case scenario). I would have more confidence in the Mid October deliveries if it were not for the Silverado/Sierra refresh launching in the summer, that launch will have all hands on deck for GM, as it must go smoothly. GM has another problem too, normally when they launch a re-fresh they have their inventory full as a buffer, but this year there is no Sierra or Silverado inventory anywhere so there is even more pressure on the re-launch.Welcome! Thanks for the warm welcome. Very familiar with EV and have several as part of my office fleet including BMW i3, Prius & Volvo XC90.Welcome, have you ever owned an EV? Yeah companies like Rivian and Jeep are already starting to build chargers in off road spots. I hope GM does something along those lines as well. Thanks for the warm welcome. Very familiar with EV and have several as part of my office fleet including BMW i3, Prius & Volvo XC90.
The challenge with EV off-roading will be the establishment of charging stations at trail heads but clearly this is the wave of the future...
I am not a pickup kind of guy - I appreciate the styling but I have an SUV reserved.Welcome to the forum @Bschurr! That is an incredible lineup of vehicles you have there. Did you consider the pickup or did you always want the SUV?
