Ok, it has happened twice now, getting into the Hummer Ev the same way I got into my past GMC Sierra HD, where I stand up fully on the running board and swing into the drivers seat, this does not work in the HummerEv where the running board to door opening height is less, I have bumped my head fairly hard twice, out of my first 5 times getting in, it's hard to change old muscle memory, but with a couple lumps on my head it should not take too many more before I figure it out.

Easy solution. Take the tops off.

I just got in it this morning with the tops off, it’s so much more natural feeling. I had a different but similar issue with my first pickup where I would step on the running board with my right foot and basically hit a dead end step back down and try again with my left.
