Good on GM for recognizing they can bilk their customers for even more money.

Interesting to see more paint colors out of GM's most advanced paint shop ever.

This was my reaction as well. Add $10K in options and a unique paint color, give it a cool name, and sell it for an extra $40k, which happens to be around the price pick-ups are reselling for. Smart way to get customers to voluntarily pay above their reservation price.

I also imagine this may reduce the desirability of the Edition 1 if this is ends up being an even more exclusive and higher end version of the Hummer.

Wish GM would focus on ramping up production on the base models rather than worrying about special editions but can't really fault GM for seeing an opportunity to increase profit margin.

I’d get this but I like green more. Is the up charge just for cosmetic features?

Cosmetic plus extreme off-road package.
And an opportunity to play off the H1 Alpha name with the HEV Omega.

I like the paint color, and all the power to anyone who gets one, but at $139,995 - $149,995 no thank you.

Agree. Really like the paint color and would be willing to pay a premium for it. But I don't want the extreme off-road package and the paint isn't worth $40k to me. There will be plenty of people willing to pay though, which is why this is smart on GM's part.
A customer would be better off just taking in edition one SUV or SUT and then spending 5000 or so on wrapping it in a similar blue then they’ve got pretty much an identical product to the omega for tens of thousands less

Not trading my ED1 but would like to see a better picture of the bead-lock capable wheels for possible future wheel swap.
Why is it that “extreme off-road package” and “Exclusive high lux carpet flooring insert” seem to be oxymoron-esque features?

That’s cool and all but like can y’all deliver more than 2 hummers per quarter before we starting thinking about MORE special editions?

“Here’s a new special-er edition of a truck we’re already a year behind on delivering the previous special edition of and haven’t delivered a single normal version of.” Just salt in the wound of those of us waiting for our trucks. And a thinly veiled attempt to get in on the over MSRP money they’ve “missed” out on until now. They priced the Escalade-V the same way; it should list for $125-130k but they priced it internally at the height of the car market bubble and didn’t look back. Likewise, I think they’re pricing the “Omega” version like the over MSRP market never ended and will never go away for the Hummer EV.

I built my Edition 1 the same way -(minus) the blue color, gloss black and "carpet" ...(not available) but bronze beadlock, bronze badging, tire cover, level 2 home charger (by the way not mentioned if included) and off road package....almost 20k less so if blue is your thing have at it...good luck GM trying to sell a different color paint job for 20k.

I'm pretty sure Edition 1 badging would outweigh "Omega". As Edition 1 means FIRST EDITION and for anyone following along ... "Omega" is LAST...or maybe GM will be dropping the Hummer brand AGAIN after they complete all the reservations including the "Omega" editions.

¿Just wondering if blue is worth 20k¿

I may have missed something.

This is the bronze beadlock.
Yeah, but that isn’t the one described in the Omega write-up (unless they just powder coated it black):
  • Exclusive 18-inch gloss black beadlock-capable wheels with Carbon Flash trim ring

I agree that 20K for paint wouldn’t be worth it. You have to remember though, the price you and I paid was based on the 2020 inflation rate. My MSRP was $112,595. I just checked, that is $131,740 in today’s dollars.
