I am right there with you, @Aloppen is putting out the huge tease here, I wish he would stop by and give us some details? That though is for sure a complete Body in White headed for the paint shop, my only questions are if it is final production so early?Please don’t tease me. Possible, however @Aloppen was spotted driving an all up validation model last weekend, as we saw in this video. I wonder if this picture is a couple weeks old and that was the truck Al was driving last weekend? Hopefully Al checks in and lets us know the real status? In the mean time speculation is the best we've got, and try to fit the bread crumbs of information the best we can. Either way, we now know the body shop at Factory Zero is now building complete bodies in white which is a huge step in itself.Seems more likely to be the start of a pre-production run at this point in time.

Yeah, only issue I see for the Plaid right now is the price, buying it now you are likely paying a 20%+ premium over where it will be priced once initial demand is satisfied, which will hit the initial owners hard on depreciation (similar to early ludicrous owners). I am also hearing initial PLAID take rate is low, well below Tesla's expectation. There is talk they will start exporting them to China and Europe as soon as next quarter which was not in the original plans for 2021. The Refresh Model S is better in almost every way than the outgoing model, however its entering a very different market, and EV buyers have many other options, (starting with Model 3 and Y) for far less money, which was not the case in 2012, when Model S started.Yea I been seeing videos getting excited for it. First deliveries of the Hummer EV will be right around Oct 1st, plus or minus a couple weeks, but there is a chance it will be slightly ahead of schedule, however I am not sure if GM will want to start deliveries in Q3, as when they start deliveries there is a production setup write down that happens financially, I do not think they would pull ahead the sales a few weeks, and have to take that one time charge in Q3 financials? but that is me speculating. If I was a betting man , I say the beginning of Q4 (likely 100 or more Hummer Ev's in 1 pop), which follows GM's original guidance, and makes more sense from an accounting standpoint. Refresh Silverado and Sierra also on sale in Q4. Typical GM vehicles have a + or -4 week logistics delay from build to delivery, but this will not be the case for the Hummer as it will be trucked direct from the factory to dealers, no train ride or logistics lot at least initially.
I think initial Hummer reservation holders are going to hear from GM in the next 2 weeks to firm their orders. Be on the lookout for calls or emails from the dealer.

Yoke looks cool, but sucks in your first parking lot, or maneuvering, Musk seems committed to it though which to me is a mistake. You will be able to buy a Plaid for 99-109K in a year, I am certain of that.@Tom E-Tron i really hope your right.

Really? I think Tesla is safe to buy. over lease, but don't chase the new model, wait for demand to wane and Musk starts giving good deals, it's a predictable as the sun coming up in the morning. I thought about buying a PLAID a few times, but the steering/shifting does not work for me. That being said, I bought our E-Tron which will prove to be a mistake, lease would have been better for us as we will not keep it long term (I predict it will be replaced by a Lucid Gravity, Rivian R1S or Escalade EV).Right now I only lease Tesla. Yea, unfortunately I think many of the older OEMs jumping into EVs now will make rapid improvements in their second generation cars. Autocar is saying that an update is coming to the Etron next year that will raise the range by over 100 miles. It’s just like computers and phones. If you are willing to wait a little, you can either get more for your money or get last year’s equivalent for less. I think that progress will slow down though as they get the low hanging fruit in regards to efficiency.Really? Exactly... The next E-Tron will be a dramatic improvement, and would be on my shopping list. We love our E-Tron, but I also like to try other manufacturers. Lucid to me looks like the best balance of tech, and luxury, but they still have a ways to go to get into production with the gravity. I will watch the "Air" closely and see if they hit their targets, if they do, it will be like Tesla... who? @Tom E-Tron i feel like the tech will be changing rapidly for a while too. I am going to purchase the Hummer, when I get the chance, but my wife’s car is so she can get something new a regular schedule. I do own a model Y PUP that I gave to my son. I wish I had that back but it brings him so much joy it makes up for it.

Another little step closer...GM just put up the order/reference guide for us. This is not actually where we order the vehicles, but gives us all the RPO codes and order options. The order main page is not showing the Hummer available to order as of yet.
