Hummer EV - June 2021

This is a lengthy video showing the Hummer EV on city streets. Some items of note:

1. Quick acceleration from a stop and while passing ICE vehicles.

2. This prototype has black trim.

3. The Infinity Roof is partially removed.

Happy Father's Day Weekend everyone!

Wow, great catch... Factory pre production (earlier than I thought) has clearly started, that baby is an all up production representative model.

Thanks for sharing ~ awesome video update. Assuming that is someone from the testing team and not an owner.

Of course, this is a production representative model, but not a salable customer model, but this means testing has reached the final phase, and they are likely just making small calibration changes at this point, and the factory is coming to life. This is exciting, and earlier than I expected...
Hope we start seeing more of these final protos around it’s definitely cooler to see videos of those than the “disguised” ones. Kinda hard to disguise a Hummer anyway!

Thanks Tom...... Yes I am so glad I reserved the Ev1 because all information coming out is YES this vehicle is going to meet all expectations and live up to all the hype! Awaiting for the first forum member to say they placed their order at the dealership.

The earlier ones were not disguised, just missing the cladding and badging. Those trucks were mules to test propulsion, battery, suspension, etc, and will be recycled, the ones like the one in the video today will likely remain in GM's captured fleet for long term testing, and also means GM will have trucks for media members voting for the Truck of the Year.

I heard dealerships will start firming orders in July... So Exciting...

That is awesome... I can't wait for these to hit the road. Even though I have an EV3X reservation, I want to hear the real world reviews from those of you here who have Edition 1's coming... It looks amazing and I can't wait to see and hear about all of the accessories...

He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. No actual production has started, but the prototypes are starting to look production representative.

Actually these latests Hummer Ev's which have been spotted have moved from engineering prototypes to pre production vehicles, and are now being built at Factory Zero on "semi" production tooling, just FYI. This is the final stage of development and is likely now all software calibrations remaining. These are still not salable models though, as these will get run through an extensive battery of tests, and then the GM engineering team (@Aloppen and other top GM engineers to peer review), will have to sign off on the data and builds before salable models start production which will likely be very late summer (this final step of approval may go as high as Mark Reuss). This is the stage however where GM is likely to start letting outsiders get closer to the vehicles, and maybe even some initial media rides. This is a huge step in the vehicle development, and tells me they are still on schedule, but hurdles remain.

This guys is fake. Salable production has not started yet, but these are very close to production trucks, and likely have nearly all production parts, but you can bet GM is going to have a big press release when salable production starts, and the person that paid 2.5M for the first one goes to Detroit to watch their truck VIN 001 get assembled, they will be recorded driving it off the line, and that will be shared with all of us... FOR SURE!
