I wish GM would give an updated timeframe or confirm when 3X production will start since they supposedly are building many more Hummers this year than they originally planned. If the 3X was originally slated for fall are they still on track for that or will they get some late summer ones built if they get the Edition 1 orders completed earlier than planned.

Not sure when 3x is actually going to start, but production is supposed to really pick up in September.

we will see. Still hearing it’s just 1200 Edition 1s and then like 600-900 demos for dealers. Then 3X production after edition 1 concludes.

Hummer concierges are still saying Edition 1 Fall deliveries are October-December 2022 deliveries which would indicate 3x is definitely 2023+ if they don’t speed up and deliver earlier and much faster as well (dealer deliveries/transport and readiness is really slow on the end even).

Can't imagine GM burning money ($48m - $90m depending on your numbers and models) building demo units for a vehicle that's sold out for the next 2 years. They would be better off building more Lyriqs.

That’s what doesn’t make sense. GM’s original plan was fall 2022 deliveries for 3X and that was before they said they were going to significant ramp up production from their original plan. That would make the 3X fall at the latest but they are being pretty secretive about everything. I know it’s all about battery capacity, but if it’s 1200 edition 1’s and then 600 demo’s that’s still about 19k short of what they said they will build this year now.

I also don’t think the concierge’s really know much either other than the simple information that is on the reservation page and how to change your dealer. Concierge is also telling people their 3X is on track for this fall.
Yeah seems we are just going to have to wait to see what happens. We will learn most in quarterly results, then based on if Edition 2 Falls orders start to deliver early in Aug/Sep at best.
