GM did not "promise" anyone an "early spring" delivery. All GM notifications say the word "estimated" and not "early". There were not options on 10-20- 2020 on the ED1's "reservations", those came a year later, and "Orders" were not placed till you met with the dealer more then a year later. The more you write, the more your credibility suffers.

You have a comprehension problem, auto companies never "promise", thats a word reserved for others.. as for Tucker Carlson, he is battling for credibility right now after the dominion lawsuit exposed his emails and text messages, the ones where he says he "hates" the former president, and "the last presidency was a "disaster", funny, he told his viewers something different than what he was really thinking, got his boss sued for billions of dollars.
Oh, you are right Etron. Turns out it was just a misunderstanding. Looks like my super truck has actually been in my garage since spring of last year (all rigged out as I requested) and I just missed it. Thanks for your help.

Hey, looks like I finally got to speak to GM rep at least... Most Progress I have made so far....

Do you care to share the GM rep contact info? I have literally gotten no where with mine and frankly, it's bullshit.

Thats good, the key to getting anything done is to get in touch with the right people...

I do think your expectations though are detached from reality, and as for the recall last spring? Huh? My Hummer was delivered to me in July (summer) and I enjoyed it for 6 months, then sold it. No recall on it at all.

Talked to my dealer a couple of days ago as I got a service motor light and had two error codes come up that required service for the motors. I setup an appointment but it all cleared that night so didn't go in the next day. Its still fine.

BUT we got on the topic of the first service in couple months and the battery recall. He said they just also did one last week, and it was a crazy production. 3-4 GM engineers were onsite, some in hazmat type suits during the process, etc. It took a long time but they did the swap in a day.

They are definitely testing it out with dealers and eventually we will get new batteries.

If they are sending engineers to every dealership, it's gonna be a sloooow process. 😦
Most likely they are sending engineers for the first vehicle at each dealership, to train them. The biggest issue is not actually swapping the battery, it is vacuum draining and refilling the coolant. I recently had to have my Mach E battery removed and reinstalled, and got over temp warnings right afterward. It was my dealers first time for doing that and they screwed up and left air in the coolant system. Many of the Bolt early battery swaps had the same issue, but for mine the dealer had already done several by the time they did mine and I had no issues.

Sorry to hear about all the troubles. I've had VIN 181 since Feb '22 with no major issues. Leaky I-bars, which they fixed in a jiffy, dead 12V battery (early software update corrected a module that wasn't shutting down) and a cracked windshield (I ran into a flying stone). I didn't get the power tonneau because I'm in snowy Michigan; that sounded like a bad idea. I drive it a lot (6K miles) and have a blast every time. I wouldn't mind getting an upgraded battery pack under warranty, but I haven't received any recalls. All-in, it's worth the wait. It's the wildest vehicle I've ever driven.

Ya, I found a fool to buy mine, after I enjoyed it for 6 months. Best of all worlds.
Sure you don’t miss it at all @Tom E-Tron? 😃

I ask because even with the issues, GM has been great about fixing every one of them which makes me love it even more now.

Besides, we both know how much you left on the table by not selling it when you first got it and I doubt you regret that choice.

No, I don't miss the Hummer, was thrilled to have it for 6 months for the experience, and then made a profit on it when I sold. I do at times miss my Tesla Model Y, liked having a little beater car to run errands. Family having 2 useful cars instead of 3 is a change, my 67 Chevelle is no good with the kids,(and doesn't go out in the rain), they think its too noisy and smelly... haha!

With less than 200 miles water reached the battery and incapacitated my hummer. This is especially painful because I purchased this car above MSRP via bring a trailer. GM flew an engineer over to investigate the issue as my local dealer's service team was not able to diagnose the issue

It has now been 4 months at the dealership waiting for a new battery. Reading the news on the stop sale makes me feel like it would take even longer as 1) GM needs to produce more batteries, 2) figure out how to do the repairs, and 3) cross-train their service teams. I really want to use my truck and knew very well that it'd have some issues being a gen-1. I did not however expect the issue to be the battery coupled with lack of communication

My current avenues are
  1. Putting legal pressure on GM with the goal of getting clarity and ensuring that I get prioritized. Are there any paperweight hummer owners that have experience with this?
  2. If I had all the money in the world I'd buy another (working) one, use it, and sell it once mine is fixed.
Did your truck get a battery pack replacement yet?
