Heads up display or night vision on HEV

Checking out some other vehicle options in the GM and Cadillac family and I can’t seem to recall any mentions of a heads up display or night vision. Give. This is a GM super truck I would expect it to have ALL the bells and whistles! Anyone know if this is an option or if it will be in later models. Maybe the heads up isn’t necessary given the new screen behind the wheel but the night vision would be pretty awesome!

No HUD, windshield is too vertical, no way to project onto it like that, the projector would have to be where the steering wheel is...

High end versions of SilveradoE and SierraE will likely have the HUD

Yeah I figured that would be something mentioned in the headlines if it we’re a feature. I’m sure they could figure a way out but with the large screen at the wheel the HUD would probably be a bit redundant anyway.
Really curious how affective the night vision is on the cadillacs. Does it serve real world purpose or is it novelty? Our Tiguan is worth 2k more than we paid for it so I’m considering an XT6 or TRX since it may be a while before I get my hummer. Plus it would be nice to compare the two since the TRX is supposed to be the Raptor killer and the HEV is supposed to be the TRX killer.

So Lexus licensed the night vision from Cadillac, and I had a Lexus LX with it, it was outstanding if you live in an area with deer, or other wildlife, but actually in all honesty I rarely turned it on, and actually it could be distracting at times.

As far as this killer or that killer, that is silly talk. The raptor has its fans, the TRX its fans and the Hummer its fans. They all have strengths and weaknesses. Raptor is the value play with some off road capability, TRX is a bit better in most ways, and Hummer is a different beast... 0-60 in 3 seconds, incredible traction control, removable top. 4 wheel steer and crab mode and it's an EV so far cheaper to operate. I would guess now with $5 a gallon premium gas the TRX is annoying some customers since it only goes 8 miles for every gallon if you are heavy on the right foot.

Yeah the way i see it if i go with the TRX its money spent on the Hummer anyway. Guaranteed ill trade it in, given i dont decide the TRX IS IT! really only money lost in the next year will probably be on gas like you said!!! Trying to prioritize nice family SUV over fun truck. realistically our youngest is 5 months old so we still have a bit before we start doing camping trips or actually needing a truck. Plus they have a 20k mark up on the trx right now but the used ones are going for just as much!

As far as night vision, its sounds super cool but i could totally see how it would be distracting. realistcially we live in the burbs but do alot of driving around wildelife areas so it may pay off but also may just be an extra flexing point that is not needed.

Well it happened. I figured the money was already allocated for the HEV so I might as well get a nice truck and enjoy it instead of checking the forum 3 times a day.
Found a used 21 trx with level 2 package and dual sunroof at a Ford dealership. I was hoping for black but saved myself 15k markup on this one. Figured I’ll wrap it later if I want.
Only been 3 days and I’m still scared to put my foot down in it because roads have been wet but I can’t wait for the sun to come out so I can try the launch control button out! In many ways this truck is superior to my 2020 Sierra AT4 but I can’t get over the fact that it’s so damn hard to get into the bed of the trx. I really miss my step bumpers!
No buyers remorse and I love the truck but most of all it has got me to be less Obsesive about hummer EV gossip.

Congrats! However, considering you have @INgolfer and me on here daily, not sure that’s how it works!

Now that is severely traction limited!!

Dodge putting the Hellcat motor in all it's segments is a small window for the lucky few to take advantage of.

I applaud the industry for giving us the highest performance varients of their "fuely" technology, while they transition to "electric" performance. Back in the 70's there was a hard stop on performance in favor of economy & we all suffered greatly. One could say we are getting the best of both worlds at this point in time. A TRX & a Hummer EV...now that's a driveway to be jealous of!!

@Moneyshot89 i am with you about obsessively checking here to see if someone have received theirs yet... I am the same and I AM WAY down the list... I just want to see what everyone thinks... Good news is that Next week we have the SilveradoE reveal and I will probably reserve one of those just in case I like it better... I think that I can live with the shorter bed on the Hummer for the "truck" things that I do now... I won't be using it for a "work truck" if I need a real work truck, then I will have to shop for something much less expensive and used...

Congrats on the TRX... my neighbor has one and I got a short ride in it and I liked it... We are in a gated community and we live right by the gate... He has done a little extra motor work on it since I rode in it... I think that he changed the supercharger pulley and an after market exhaust... I think that it sounds great... My wife hates it.. Mostly because he leaves for work at 6:30 or so and he has to idle with his exhaust aimed at our bedroom window and it wakes her up...

We’ll I’m down to once a day so that is an improvement. It was literally every time I had a moment with my phone before. Now I’m busy shopping for accessories hahaha!!!
I have a mopar bed step, tonneau cover, swing box for the bed and tail light tint on the way right now. Not planning on doing anything motor wise until I get some time behind the wheel and playing with the 702 horseys in there already!

probabaly gonna reserve a Silverado as well fingers crossed I get an edition one and can make 100k off it to pay for theTRX!

@Bboozer1 i love the exhaust already it sounds somewhat t-Rex ish when you apply throttle just right. Wouldn’t want to change that. I love roaring at folks as I pass them

Love the white! That would have been my first choice if I ordered one but had the chance to snag a blue one and not have to wait. Still loving mine 4 months later. I’ve owned a lot of sports cars and this is up there with being one of the funnest vehicles, if not THE funnest, vehicle I’ve owned. Only one that is right up there with it is my C7 but I don’t have to put the TRX away in the winter that gives it extra brownie points.
