It's holiday season and the time of giving. Each year we're shown commercials and ads of people giving loved ones keys to a new car with a bow on it.

The question I have is, how many people have actually given or received a car as a gift? If this has happened to you let us know what car it was and what happened.

2002 E46 M3 for Christmas/acing my first 2 years of college in Dec ‘01. Drove it daily for a decade, put 120k mikes on it. Replaced it with a ‘12 SCV8 Range Rover Sport.

My wife and I gave a needy family a station wagon for Xmas one year. We had a guy dress up as Santa and deliver it to them, they were shocked, but also very appreciative.
