Looking at the picture Duncan posted it appears he is in a vehicle behind the Hummer EV, likely another Hummer EV, so I think a few lucky dealers and reporters got ride alongs. Likely Embargoed until XXX date?Good find. I think part of the question is how you parse the post: what does experience mean in the context of seeing the vehicle. Is it a ride along, just seeing the car in the flesh or actually getting to drive it? Obviously many have already seen it in person, but MKBHD’s new video was just seeing it as well - at least of what we can tell. So, yea it’s hard to tell what information/experience they got. Let’s hope it’s some ride alongs if not a drive for themselves.
We received an update from Duncan Aldred last week and he posted a short video about testing the Hummer for us. It was him and the top people in the Buick GMC NDC(National Dealer Council) out driving these. I saw the spare setup, but didn't want to post it right from his video. Lol. This is the same Hummer from up above. He said we should all be very excited at the dealer level, so guessing good news is coming.Looking at the picture Duncan posted it appears he is in a vehicle behind the Hummer EV, likely another Hummer EV, so I think a few lucky dealers and reporters got ride alongs. @BigJonEV Thanks for the update, I think we are going to get something this week... Could be just something in the earnings deck, or on the earnings call. I would love to her Mary or Mark tip off the earnings call with I have been driving the first production Hummer EV the last week, and it is awesome... That would get the Wall Street analysts attention...We received an update from Duncan Aldred last week and he posted a short video about testing the Hummer for us. I will be expecting a post immediately after the earnings call please. Then I will post Thursday about new order information.@BigJonEV Thanks for the update, I think we are going to get something this week... That is certainly a possibility. I have a good feeling, this week or next for orders. Bigger news is production at Factory Zero is starting, GM is proving the naysayers wrong, people who called GM "late to the party" or "vaporware" or worse "fraud" are going to eat those words, as GM beats all comers to the market with an EV pickup, and not just any EV pickup, but a Hummer EV.I will be expecting a post immediately after the earnings call please. Ya, the Edition 1 Hummer EV's will get batteries from the pilot line at LG Chem in Michigan, Lyriq and Silverado EV will likely get the first battery cells from Ultiumcell LLC in Lordstown. I expect this production will start very slow in Q1 2022, 1 line at a time, and will take a year or so to ramp up to full production. Battery production is slow to ramp even with a proven production system. Now GM/LG just need to get that battery factory up and running so they can get some volume! Mainly for the upcoming trucks though…😃
Yeah, and get me a new battery for my Bolt ASAP.Now GM/LG just need to get that battery factory up and running so they can get some volume! Mainly for the upcoming trucks though…😃
Is your Bolt a 2019? It seems like they are setting the 2019's first in line, as they seem to have the most defects.Yeah, and get me a new battery for my Bolt ASAP.
2017, less likely to burn but still in the recall. I am coming up on 100K miles and would love to have a fresh battery. My plan was to sell it when I get the Hummer, or trade it in. But now they have put a stop sale on them at dealerships, and Arizona will not allow new registrations of recalled cars by new owners. I also have a GMC Sierra I will be selling when I get the Hummer, that has been my tow vehicle. Is your Bolt a 2019? Wow Bill, with all of those restrictions it really puts you in a bind ? I hope GM quickly makes it right for all the customers like you. I would have a hard time remaining as calm and patient as you are if I was in that situation.2017, less likely to burn but still in the recall. They just sent out recall #2 for the battery fires in July. I had the "final software fix" applied back in June, but apparently 2 more fires occurred on cars after that fix. So now it appears batteries must be replaced. An official update from GM is expected on September 6. Here is the official recall notice, dated July 23, 2021. I think the stop sale memo to the dealers just went out last week. There had been one on the first recall as well.@azbill how long has the car been under recall? Has the stop sale been in place just as long?
Edit: I see this is fairly recent but did they provide a timing on repair at all?
