Nice. These CTF vehicles are road legal with a VIN. Meaning they can be sold to the public after final testing is done. Be on the lookout for them if you want a Hummer sooner or were not able to get an Edition One reservation.
I do not think these will not be sold, "EX" at the end of the VIN indicates it is a development vehicle, these will be run through their testing however long that is, and then be recycled. Vin 001 (The $2.5M one) will be the first salable model, should be built in September. These captured fleet models will get driven by the media at some point, looking forward to seeing the reviews.Nice. These CTF vehicles are road legal with a VIN. I expect media reviews at the end of September, Start or end of Texas state fair, take your choice?Awesome news! Can’t wait to start hearing some real media reviews instead of the tech walkarounds.
Me too.... This was s fantastic... I want some real world feedback and not the same canned speeches about all the "Easter Eggs" and the "Sea of Tranquility" theme.... Give me some real reviewsAwesome news! Can’t wait to start hearing some real media reviews instead of the tech walkarounds.
In the facebook comments there were several GM employees making comments, I found one of them interesting... This person is listed from Warren Mi (which is where GM engineering is headquartered) , could definitely be a GM employee, and his comment was liked by AL... We might be in for some surprises? Should we get our hopes up?Me too.... This was s fantastic... I want some real world feedback and not the same canned speeches about all the "Easter Eggs" and the "Sea of Tranquility" theme.... Looks like Al liked most of the comments. I hope there are some big surprises coming but that may just be a coincidence on that oneIn the facebook comments there were several GM employees making comments, I found one of them interesting... Nice find E-Tron!
Anyway, I do not expect any big surprises, but would not be surprised if GM has a few small tricks up their sleeve. Would be nice if the truck nails GM's benchmarks and is on time... That alone is more than any other company has done with an EV pickup.Nice find E-Tron!
Tom ~ this is the excellent investigative skills that we expect here on the forum. Digging deep to get all the facts! 😁
Haha, Not sure if there are many "facts" here, but certainly can deepen the speculation. Hope you all realize what a big step in vehicle development this is, and my confidence of on time Hummer EV's being delivered is rising. This tells me the test team did not run into any showstoppers during testing which is always a concern with an all new chassis, and all new powertrain. Very few "new" vehicles go through the testing cycle without discovering some issues which require re-work, but this might give us some clues as to the maturity of GM's software based engineering tools, and the skill of their operators which worked on the Hummer engineering. There have also been some interesting patents, which show some pretty cool technology I hope makes it into the production Hummer EV.Tom ~ this is the excellent investigative skills that we expect here on the forum. That is a great question, I do not think so, because I do not think a development vehicle can be insured for customers to drive.Question for those of you in the knowWill any of these become demo models that we can see/drive at our local dealership?
