A GMC exec said they will not be going down a similar strategy as Cadillac with buyout offers.

Makes sense, GMC is not going to be an All EV brand at least short term, so dealers can choose to carry EV's, or not. Sometime GMC Customers will force GMC dealers decisions if GMC EV's become popular enough.

Well said Tom, I agree completely.
Apparently dealers are getting $500,000 for the buyout from Cadillac.

That is not entirely accurate, GM is negotiating with each dealer to buy out their franchise, some get as low as $200K to as high as $1m, depends on the size of the dealer, and how much GM wanted to get rid of them.
