GM Authority is reporting that the Sky Convertible Top has been removed from the Hummer EV's options list.

The GMC Hummer EV is an all-electric pickup and SUV chalked full of innovative features, from the mesmerizing CrabWalk to the insane three-motor powertrain to the Sky Convertible Top. Unfortunately for prospective Hummer EV buyers, the aforementioned Sky Convertible Top will no longer be available to order.

GM Authority has learned that the Sky Convertible Top, LPO (RPO code SBD) has been deleted from the options list. This feature was designed to be installed at the dealership as opposed to the factory. The convertible top was originally intended to be offered for the 2023 Hummer EV Pickup, as well as the 2024 Hummer EV SUV.

It’s worth noting that it’s unclear if any Hummer EV units were actually sold and installed with the Sky Convertible Top.

As a brief refresher, the convertible top was manually operated, and integrated directly with the vehicle structure, functioning in place of the two front Sky Panels and I-Bar. Designed to be durable enough to withstand year-round use, the Sky Convertible Top was intended to open the cabin to more sun and air when the weather was nice, or fold down for some shade.

Originally priced at $1,695, this top wasn’t even available on the introductory 2022 GMC Hummer EV Pickup Edition 1.
