When the Hummer comes out there won't be a shortage of competitors for it to go up against. One of the more interesting ones is the Nikola Badger, the specs are impressive but at this point there's only been renderings of the truck. There's already owner's forums popping up online so that could be a telling sign.

So the Nikola Badger is a fuel cell/EV truck...I assume hydrogen? I've heard of it, and it's a really interesting concept. It's a hybrid, but with the gas motor swapped out for a zero-emissions, range-extending fuel cell, essentially. 600 miles of range is fantastic.

I wonder what chance it has of making it to market?

That's the million dollar question. I want this to work because I think there's a lot of potential for fuel cells but I I don't think there's even a prototype of it out yet. On top of that, they're asking for $5,000 deposits, which is absolutely insane

Nikola is taking $5,000 pre-orders for electric truck it hasn’t fully shown yet

The Badger electric truck would use a combination of hydrogen fuel-cell and battery power and isn't likely to arrive until 2022 at the earliest.
