The 2024 GMC HUMMER EV SUV Edition 1 VIN 001 First Retail Production (Lot #3002) will be auctioned on Saturday, January 28, to benefit Tread Lightly!, a national initiative to protect and enhance recreation access and opportunities by promoting outdoor ethics to heighten individuals’ sense of good stewardship. The fully electric HUMMER EV SUV features a three-motor e4WD propulsion system with GM-estimated 830 horsepower and GM-estimated 11,500 ft/lbs of torque, 4-wheel steer with CrabWalk diagonal-drive functionality and Adaptive Air Suspension with available Extract Mode capability.

What a joke! This flies in the face of protecting and enhancing the environment. On top of that, it’s to benefit Tread lightly? This thing is far from “treading lightly”. If you really want to protect the environment, how about not building outlandish inefficient EVs. Man, way to go hypocrites.

Last time I posted photos of the show truck on this forum. The auction is live streamed online, and there was a link to that posted as well. I think the SUV is scheduled to be auctioned at about 4pm on Saturday, so keep watching the Barrett Jackson web site that day.

They had 2 SUVs, 3 SUTs, and 2 Lyrics at the show. Recon has the Hummer e-bikes there as well. The orange Corvette is the same color as Afterburner Tintcoat on the Hummer.

While at the show, my daughter and I got to go to the track and experience crab walk and WTF for the first time. It was awesome!

It only brought in $500k, way less than the $2.5m for the SUT 2 years ago.

The cause the SUV was attached to didn’t bring in the same bidders as the Pickup did.

The SUV they paraded through was a pre-production one, the GM rep there said the actual Vin 001 delivery should be in about a month. Not sure if I believe that or not.

100% agree charity cause it was auctioned for not the same as the SUT...wounded vets vs trail clean up?

I watched the auction and it looked ...at least on my TV and even in the pic attached to be more of a silver gray green...all the photos I have seen on the interwebs have been more predominantly greenish hue... i assume its the lighting they had.

I have not seen the SUV in real life yet but I do look forward to seeing it in my drive this summer....

It's the mat finish, when the camera got close to the SUV and not blinded by the overhead lights you could see the green hue to it.

Even in these photos it's a little more subdued than it is in person.

Personally, when I saw it in person, I did not like the color that much, it is pretty light.
