Watch the Hummer and Cadillac Lyriq go through cold weather testing at GM's Kapuskasing Proving Grounds in northern Ontario, Canada.
Same here, I love how it seems to share some design DNA with the Elmiraj concept.I liked seeing the Lyriq there having fun in the snow.
You mean the long hood for an ICE powertrain, but no value to the customer.? You see the Frunk Lucid fits under a much shorter hood on the AIR, delivering value to the customer. GM engineers and designers were too lazy to concentrate on the packaging and give the customers value in all that wasted space.Same here, I love how it seems to share some design DNA with the Elmiraj concept.

How can you defend GM on this, there is no reason Lyriq has no frunk other than lazy design engineers. Frunk is value delivered to the customer...
A frunk is a nice to have not a necessity. I'm fine with the space already available in the Lyriq. How can you defend GM on this, there is no reason Lyriq has no frunk other than lazy design engineers. Frunk is value delivered to the customer...
Lyriq has less cargo space then E-Tron, and remember E-Tron is an iCE car converted to EV, not a ground up EV platform... E-Tron is also AWD, and has a frunk.A frunk is a nice to have not a necessity. I'm fine with the space already available in the Lyriq.

To me that is an inexcusable oversight, and just shows GM's lack of design and engineering talent to give the customer a car that utilizes every square mm, and gives the customer unbelievable value.
Your comment on "Not a Necessity" is exactly why Gm loses against start ups. GM does what they have to do, but no passion to be the best...
Tesla Model S sedan has more cargo are than Lyriq, and Y has the same amount of cargo area in a smaller platform.
28.5 + 2.12 > 28 thats the cargo area, seats folded is something most never do...E-Tron:
Cargo Area Dimensions
Cargo Volume to Seat 1: 57 (ft³)
Cargo Volume to Seat 2: 28.5 (ft³)
Frunk ads about 2.12 (ft³)
Lyriq:
Cargo Area Dimensions
Cargo Volume to Seat 1: 60.8 (ft³)
Cargo Volume to Seat 2: 28.0 (ft³)
No the Lyriq still beats out the E-Tron
EV's should have Frunks, and when you have that LONG hood, the customer should get some value from that space, because inside the car is tight. I have never heard any car buyer say I wish I has less usable cargo space in my car.I can easily put stuff in front of the rear seats. There is more than 2 (ft³) there for anything else I need.
Like I said a Frunk is a nice to have but not necessary.
