Those half shafts are thicker than my forearm haha. And I don't think the Hummer EV will have the snapping tie rod issue the old H2 had!

They are thick, but it will be interesting to see how the extension feature holds up. The shafts extend and compress as the suspension height is adjusted.

Yeah I'm curious how long they expect Extract Mode to be used before you're supposed to drop back down to normal ride height.

I'm sure extract mode will be limited to a crawl speed for as long as you want. It is maxing out the suspension so there is no more downward travel left.

I have to agree Todd, I think you may have a tiny bit of play for durability purposes (i.e. they probably could have gotten 17 inches if they wanted on Extract Mode), but it is confirmed to be only able to engage at low speeds. But to @JimsH3's point, I don't think usage is limited by a max time...only a max speed!
