GM will soon be expanding Super Cruise to 400,000 miles of High Resolution Mapped Highways.

According to its press release, General Motors is doubling the Super Cruise network in North America to cover over 400,000 miles of roads. Previously, the network was only mapped out against interstate highways, but it will now be available on many state and federal routes as well. Here are a couple of notable routes in the expansion:

  • US Route 66 (The Mother Road)
  • CA Route 1 (Pacific Coast Highway)
  • US Route 1 (Overseas Highway)
  • Trans-Canada Highway
The expansion will begin rolling out on 2022 models on the VIP architecture later this year as a free over-the-air (OTA) update.

This might be what we saw in that Email for the Hummer for additional Super Cruise enhancements.

The Trans-Canada Highway is going to be a key route for GM in Canada. That's going to help so much for drivers.
